Tyrone Slothrop: mithras_angel: Darn. I was hoping it was the goofy looking one, who thought he looked good in a bow tie.Tucker Max, or whoever he was.I thought Tucker Max was an office supply chain.

skinink: Here's Karl Rove trying to stop Ohio from being called for Obama:[img37.imageshack.us image 480x360]"Nein nein nein nein nein nein..."
Gawdzila: special20: HumanBeingsSuck: The only question now is, are the extremists about to eat the rest of the GOP alive?I sure hope so. The GOP may have to take a lead from Teddy R, and split the party to reign in those who are truly conservative, but rational and fair minded. Sadly, that didn't work out for TR.It won't be pretty for them in the short run, but in the long term I think it is necessary. There are two parties living inside the skin of one right now, and they're deeply conflicted. A split is going to have to happen eventually, the fight seems to pretty much be over who gets the Republican brand name.
The Irresponsible Captain: I'd be ok if it wasn't broadcast until Alaska came in. It's hardly nail-biting if you follow the numbers and facts. Sure, if you depend on Rove for your estimations it's a "Close Race". It really wasn't.We could all vote until midnight and get results in the morning. More people get a chance to vote and the networks wouldn't have anything to do. Alaska closes early in the morning and we can just get up for it on the East Coast if we care for that.
HumanBeingsSuck: Come on, all people who are moderately intelligent understand that television's job is to entertain us.A lot of us can "predict" things with surprising accuracy, even if we aren't Nate Silver. Most of us can still willingly suspend our disbelief.I don't believe for a minute that Republicans actually thought they had a good chance of winning the Presidency. What O'Reilly said about the white establishment now being a minority was meant to be a gentle nudge towards the truth, for the racists amongst the Fox News audience. Karl Rove was just leading by example, being disbelieving and then accepting of the facts. They won't admit it, but Republicans do realize they need to rein in their extremists. The only question now is, are the extremists about to eat the rest of the GOP alive?
