Finished my list last night.

Speaking of nummy turkey, does anyone have any good suggestions for a turkey that's NOT butterball?

Screw that; chicken is boring. Get a duck if you're not going to have a turkey.

Shoot the gobbler yourself; nothing tastes better than the taste of victory.

Turkey is right to be concerned over the violence in Syria. The last thing they need is an unstable state next door, they already have to worry about attack by Hungary and VietNomNomNom.

Subby's headline raises a question or two. Is it cranberry relish or cranberry jelly or cranberry sauce? What's best -- fresh killed or frozen (turkey, not the cranberry.

Get out of here with this "cranberry relish" and get me some cranberry sauce. Ocean Spray! Out of the can!

Corn boiled in water with roughly a tablespoon of raw sugar (no salt!) is, honestly, what I look forward to most.

Loaded twice baked potatoes with a sea salted potato shell. It's like mashers with the crunch of a french fry wrapped around the outside.

What I wonder is if we are influencing Turkey to mess with Syria or are they doing it with the assurance that the US will back them up if it blows up in their collective face?

yea, go to your local butcher. a real one, not the deli counter at publix or kroger.

All you need to know to make a good turkey:
Dry the bird thoroughly with paper towels, apply some sea salt and olive oil, maybe some rosemary. Preheat the oven to 425. Stick it in the oven, turn it down to 350, leave it alone until it's done. Basting is for chumps.

This. There's a reason why we eat turkey only once a year - it sucks. Bland and flavorless.

I personally like to soak a few Cuba Turkey in some Greece then toss them over into my Chile. Invite friends over and Oman we have some good times until Chad has Togo Russian to the bathroom. Peru it does a number on his stomach. Yemen we have some good times no doubt.

You've never had a brined/smoked turkey then.

Um, which rebel group? There are about a half-dozen or more to choose from.

Somehow, I don't think it'll be these guys.

Turkey is bland, flavorless, and typically made even worse by people that cannot be bothered to cook it correctly.
