Not really... knowing Apple, I'd bet that the moment those go online and report home, they'll receive an auto-blow-yourself-up command and the suckers that bought the stolen merchandise will have a nice paperweight.

Electronics that report to it's lord and master company and identify itself with the ability of being bricked are not a good "investment" when it comes to a burglary/heist.

Technically, yes, they are thieves. But that's kind of a broad statement. This wasn't some idiot knocking off a liquor store. This was an Inside job. There were connections to organized crime. Pilfering adds to the cost of your products. It takes hard earned money money out of your pocket and feeds organized crime and does not affect the seller. The manufacturer will not absorb that loss. They pass it on to their customer. If you see someone who looks Italian, it's really just best to kill them on the spot.

Actually you can. I flew to NYC recently and for kicks put a quarter-full standard tube of toothpaste in my liquids Ziploc. I even put the Ziploc in the tray with my shoes. No problem. I think they may have started to realize that the whole liquid business is absolutely farktarded.
