That's what I am thinking. If I was an EMT I'd probably give the manager a hearty 'Fark-you', and proceed through the main door, and take the first elevator I saw. If he proceeded with his douchebaggery, I'd introduce him to Mr. Defib. Then I'd instruct the next meatwagon (REO Meatwagon? That's what I'd name my ambulance service) to take the side door to treat him.

/Unless they made me take one of those hypocrite oath things, then I'd just do the 'fark-you' part.
