devilEther: He has a smile like Paul Ryan.

And probably a better fiscal plan for the U.S.

Minus 1 Charisma: FTA: Law enforcement contacts, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told CBS4 investigator Brian Maass that Holmes jailhouse suicide attempts were viewed as being "half-hearted," with one of them involving him running into a wall in his jail cell, another involving him jumping off his bed."

lol
There has got to be tape of this somewhere.

I'm off to get counseling for all my kids. Apparently they are suicidal.

CapeFearCadaver: I truly wish more sociopaths would just kill themselves.

Truth. There should be a "Suicide Now" button in every jail cell.

2012-11-15 01:09:24 PM
I don't get the jumping off a bed thing. Is it, like, a tall bunk and he's trying to land on his head?

His name is James Holmes., have some respect.

2012-11-15 01:17:11 PM
Solution: hidden camera live broadcast it and let the rest of the world have a chuckle at his antics - maybe throw in some random funny props and watch him react to them...rubber squeaky hammer, large foam question mark, etc etc..

olddinosaur: Take care to assure he DOES NOT kill himself.

I want him to stare at four walls every day for 60 years, and realize the only way he is getting out of that place is in a coffin.

Not to mention all the fun the other cons will have with him.

People like you are funny. You act as if he actually has a normally working brain that can comprehend such things.

2012-11-15 01:45:09 PM
don't they have straight jackets and padded cells or is that just in movies? seems to me it would solve the problem. we need to keep him alive long enough to convict him before we kill him.

2012-11-15 02:02:38 PM
Wow, Americans are a sad bunch. Seeing you get violently mad at this guy and wish him death in creative ways makes me wonder if you're not both sociopaths.
It's as if you'd get mad at a dog for getting rabies, then kill it by raping it to death because it bit someone you've never even met.
The man is broken in the head. Your rage should be directed at your decimated social safety net that would have prevented this.

Pfftt farking Canadians... they produce sociopaths like Micheal Bolton, and Seline Dion. Then try and tell us how superior they are. Whiskey Dickens, before you make broad sweeping comments, just know that you wrong. The social system in this country is decimated but this act didnt cause James Holmes to go crazy. He parents were well to do, and he was an educated elite. There was never a case of him being on food stamps, or too poor to not receive mental care. In my opinion, the rich in this country are way more likely to become socially maligned, as the poor are too farking busy working to afford healthcare.

dj1s: I once read a great science fiction story about using the brains of criminals to guide interplanetary probes. Eternal life, the complete inability to move or control anything...all systems were controlled through the autonomic system of the brain...out of your control and totally conscious the entire time. this dude is a candidate. Not wishing death for him...not wishing him locked up forever...sending him on a LOOOOOOOng mission to the next star system.

Do you happen to remember the title and/or author? Sounds like a good story.

Isn't he on medication? Don't medications sometimes get mixed up or wrong doses given? By mistake? Or bottles left behind?

Brilliant!!!! You could charger for access and pay for his stay....

I once saw a cat web site that had internet user controlled camera and toys for the cats. We could incorporate something like that but that tripped him, pushed him off the bed, shoot rocks at him, etc...

Now I would pay for that....

Did you just give New Haven, Connecticut to Canada?!?! Because he's from there.
Also, the name is spelled "Michael."
It's like the third most common name in the history of ever, so congrats on screwing THAT up.

...and Seline Dion. Then try and tell us how superior they are.

I'm assuming you're talking about Celine Dion?
That's a great joke (if you're Trey Parker and the year is 1998)! What's next? Jokes about Bryan Adams?

Bryan Adams sucks. And so does Molson.

I don't think he chose to be mentally ill. I don't condone what he did, obviously, but it saddens me to see the lack of compassion for people who are sick beyond their control.

No, he doesn't need to be out in society where he can harm others. But living inside his head must be a never-ending nightmare. I don't see how it serves anyone to enjoy or intentionally provoke his additional suffering.

I don't think he realizes that he's mentally ill. To him, he's normal in an abnormal world.

I guess that's better than a hoof-hearted attempt.

Fight, fight! Seriously though, you're both kind of right. You canucks do have your fair share of loonballs however, so don't get all Wayne Gretzky uppity on your neighbors. We let you flaphats do whatever it is you do up there, like go to nickleback concerts, and produce sub par comedy, so just chill. Hoser

Wow, really? I personally wish he had no 'additional suffering' nor the families of the people he injured and killed. He is a mass murdering psychopath that needs to die. NOW. Not after we pay for him to go through evaluations and numerous hearings, NOW... It does sot matter 'if he meant to be mentally ill', nobody intentionally becomes mentally ill, he is a danger to anyone he is around and dose not deserve another breath, much less meal, trial, or at a chance at living to a ripe old age.....

What part of the cold blooded murderer that walked into a theater and killed innocent victims that were just trying to enjoy their lives do you people not get?????

/BTW, nice trolling there Whiskey.....

Ya know, he might just like those things. A quiet room with 3 square meals, and some butt-farking. Some people would love that.

I say take away his civil rights (just like he took away the civil rights of the folks he killed) and have him doing very hard labor day in and out, until he begs for a rope. Then give it to him.

I was referring to people making fun of him, decribing how they would like to torture him, how they would like to see him die a painful death, or suffer in agony for the rest of his life, all of which appears earlier in this thread.

And I never said I oppose the death penalty. But I do oppose ignoring due process, as you suggest here.

2012-11-15 05:53:29 PM
You mean to say he attempted attention-whoring several times.

"Brief hospital stay" - someone's not serious.

Bit'O'Gristle: I can see it now. He kills himself, and his family sues the city, state, and everyone in the world for criminal negligence, wrongful death, and loss of notoriety. They get a fat payout, splurge on a house they can't afford the taxes for, 10 cars, and finally die penniless in a gutter sucking cold gravy out of old Kentucky fried chicken containers.

//could happen.

Let's just kill the family, too. Let him watch his entire family (extended also) get murdered while he sits in a cell, powerless. Say, if he has a cousin who just gave birth to a baby, put a bullet into the back of the infants' head, then the cousin. Make sure Holmes' DNA is halted right in it's tracks.

They throw a firecracker at you, you firebomb their house. Make sure any response is totally out of proportion with the original offense.

I don't think it's to 'show', I think it's just extermination. In my utopia world, at least. Certain people have no business being in any sort of proximity with humans.

/I say this with lots of wine, after a really bad day dealing with my sociopath from the past; though I'll still agree with it tomorrow...

I'm still curious why multiple witnesses AND police audio state there were multiple shooters.

And the fact that they found sideshow wearing a gasmask, and found another gasmask at the other end of the parking lot...

But... whatever.

Anyone test him for scopolamine?

Nah, I must be kidding.

As has already been commented, it's not about "showing" anyone anything.
But, that aside, there's also a huge difference between killing a piece of barely-human filth and killing a room filled with innocent people. If you think that the lives he ended and otherwise impacted are anywhere near equivalent to his life, I feel really pity for you. Your black and white "killing is bad" world is just ridiculous, frankly.

BUT, that said:
Unlike many people, I don't want him to kill himself. Nor should there he face the death penalty (in the traditional sense, at least).
That would be the waste of a somewhat decent body. Not in a "I'm attracted to it" kind of way, but in a "medical and other research could really use human subjects" kind of way.

Let's harvest his organs one at a time, test new medical techniques on him, expose him to various potentially-harmful situations and environments, and so on. Why waste the opportunity to perhaps benefit society, or even a few individuals?

We should go talk to Norway, this guy and the Oslo shooter really should have to put up with each others boring insanity.

I still utterly refuse the Sideshow Bob forced meme. It's not funny, it's not clever, it's not interesting. In fact, it's proof that whoever tried to attract attention to Fark by this misguided attempt at what they consider "humor" - but everyone else considers corny dimwitted approval-seeking - is just a lonely, unsocialized wanna-be with a nonexistent sense of what's popular combined with a massive inferiority complex. Or perhaps an amygdalic vessel infarction or synaptic dysfunction? Well, something's wrong anyway.
