sure haven't: Poorlytoldjoke: He wanted a song recorded for the Tribeca Film Festival. I get it, but that doesn't really feel like Jay's thing, and if there is one thing Jay has done with precision in his career, outside of making some phenomenal hip hop, is figure out how to market himself and the ventures around him. Not a lot of missteps in there. De Niro wants to use him to sell something. He's throwing a manfit when someone isn't calling him back for that, because he's Robert De Niro.

Mmmm, nope. Kinda missed it there. You were close.

If what you said is true, then Jay-Z should've been a man and been up front about it with him. DeNiro is the type that deserves your attention, doesn't matter who you are.

I starred in 3 meet the parents movies AND Rocky and Bullwinkle, you WILL return my calls,. Isn't what you just said, that last sentence, pretty much the absolute epitome of entitled douchey-ness?

I was about to make of list of his "great" movies so you would know exactly who Di Niro is, but then I realized that you a douche. So there!

T.M.S.: Poorlytoldjoke: T.M.S.: It's two artists at entirely different stages of their careers. Lets see how Jay Z is doing when he is 70.

He's worth half a bil, plus you know, his wife is worth about a quarter bil. I suspect they will be fine.

Sure money they will have. But artistic and social relevance?

Comparing them is meaningless. That was my point.

Here's the thing. Musically, Jay Z has made some pretty impressive music. The Blueprint is among the greatest hiphop albums of all time, as are several other albums he has made.

Deniro has made some of the best movies of all time.

That being said, Jay Z, even at his worst (hawaiian sophie) has never made anything as embarrassing as Meet The Parents, and those aren't even the worst things he's done in the past 20 years.

I suspect what you are arguing, because this is fark, is that no one in hip hop has any cultural relevance. I could be wrong.

Znuh: Never ever thought of De Niro as 'Bob'.

It's strange when you watch interviews with other celebs they refer to him as Bobby on a first name only basis. It takes about 10 seconds before you associate "Bobby" with "Robert De Niro" after you put the context together and you're like WTF? I always put him as a Mr. De Niro, and if I call him Bobby I'll get whacked by some goon for insulting the Don.

No you old haz-been. If someone doesn't call you back after the third call you stop stalking them.

Italian gangsters are polite. They may whack you, but to your face, you get respect.

p.s. Jim Caviezel can't walk on water or turn water to wine

I can, after I found out I'm more Italian than he is (I got him beat 50% to 25%).

Seriously though, would've been awesome if Pesci came up behind Jay Z and whacked him with a bat and then they paid homage to the Goodfellas bar beatdown.

Mr. Di Niro,

I have called you hundreds of times and you have never returned any of my calls. Oh sure, I may have been naked and sitting in a tub full of jello when I made those calls, but you didn't know that! And I don't care who you are, when someone calls you hundreds of times, you call them back.
