How in the hell is that even possible?

Granted, Severinsen did have some assistance -- before going underwater, he inhaled pure oxygen so as to saturate his body with oxygen. That said, this is still incredibly impressive.

Looks like he graduated from the Lance Armstrong School of Athletics.

Completely pointless to use your Augmentation Upgrade Canisters on Aqualung. Should have put it into Regeneration or Speed Enhancement.

Not sure if serious, or brilliant troll. There's a reason Blaine's not in the record book for this.

He wrote "Breathology: The Art of Conscious Breathing."

Sorry to be a contrarian, but I think one of the great things about breathing is that you don't have to consciously do it.

TIME Magazine - On the set of The Oprah Winfrey Show on April 30, Blaine broke the world record by holding his breath for 17 minutes and 4 seconds - proving that just how temporary apnea can be is a question of training, endurance and will.

Doubt me if you want. But back up what you say.

You're the one claiming a magician's trick was real and not faked(part of an act). The burden of truth is on you, not us.

My god. Are jocks so slow? Severinsen did this two years ago and he was only able to do it by hyperventilating on pure oxygen for an extended time first.

I never claimed it was a trick.

Not everything a magician does involves fakery.

I satisfied my burden.

I picked up the entire trilogy for $15 the other day on Steam. God bless Steam... the original install doesn't work on modern computers.

Deus Ex remains my favorite game of all time. I even once got to watch cartoons with Warren Spector in his office. It was a trip.

I'm guessing pure oxygen and gulping extra to force lungs to expand. But still pretty amazing.

I had to Google to find out what you were referring to - I guess I don't spend enough time on either forum to keep track of these sorts of things. Definitely bad PR. I guess that's the downside of giving individuals the ability to moderate subreddits - they might do dumb stuff. Different than the locked down model of Fark, I guess. (Shrug.)
