It's like Reefer Madness for video games.

Nintendo warped my fragile little mind.

In the same vein as this kind of story, I was watching Donahue back in the day (get off my lawn!)

Right around when Batman: the Animated Series first aired. This lady dragged her kid on an was insisting Batman scared her child. If it was court, the defense would object for leading the witness. "Batman is caring you, right little Suzy!"

I don't regret buying a SNES back in the day, but I hope those women regret buying bi weekly perms.

I still have and play my NES from when I was a kid. In fact, just recently I noticed I have money that I didn't have when I was 5... So I've started living the dream that I had back then. I'm up to 250 NES games now (along with 200 SNES games). It does make it interesting when I have women over... Every guy I know that sees it lights up and starts scanning over the games. Women just don't get it.

/I'm still a 5 year old at heart.

I have to imagine that hairstyle had to have been ridiculous for a newscaster even in 1991.

You are my hero. If I had large quantities of excess money, I'd totally start buying every classic gaming console I could along with every one of their video games I could find.

You just proved the news report correct, 25 years later.

It's just like that episode of Pinky and the Brain ...

Aw man, that's just not the same.

I'm probably in the minority, but I actually like the emulators better than the old systems. I have my NES and my Sega Genesis systems and a decent collection of games for them collecting dust in the basement. I think my parents still have my Atari 2600 somewhere in their house.

Sure, some people will call you a cheater... but goddamnit, without "freeze state" I would never have beaten Contra.

/Currently own NES, SNES and have an emulator on my mac mini with USB controllers for those hard to find games...

You're dating the wrong women.

Oh, and don't just marry the first chick who lets you play with her Game Genie.

So I wonder how they would feel that the 15 year-old NES addict in 1991, now lets my 12 year Xbox addicted son on 36-hour marathons of Black OPS 2? I bet the reporters whole head would have turned white instead of that little patch.
