Totally true! I mean how many of us DIDN'T do a spastic naked dance about the house while wearing a bright red clown hat and wattle today? I sure did. I'm totally bummed when I miss a day of spastic naked clown hat house dancing.

The elephant one deserves an I CAME caption.

I didn't realize gorillas had huge external ears, though. And no fur on their heads and shoulders. That might have been some homeless guy.

Human-like gestures such as sitting there, sitting there, shaking water off, sitting there, breakdancing, sitting there, and sitting there?

It's uncanny.

There is a total lack of can.

It doesn't make it not cool, though.

True. I noticed that a lot of the pictures are just animals sitting there looking at the camera. I mean, even Stephen Hawking can do that and he's more machine now than man.

"The 54-year-old has created a collection of incredible photographic portraits of animals so intimate they reveal the complex emotions of their subjects."

img1.ranker.com

No they don't.

I'm not saying animals don't have emotional states -- they do. But the idea that they experience them the same way we do, or for the same reasons, or express them in the same way, is just wrong-headed anthropomorphism.

This is one of their favourite positions, too. Funny if yer at the zoo and see about 6 - 7 of them in a group, all maxin' relaxin', all pulling this badass pose.

Pictures of children posing in human like gestures is amusing as well.

Maybe it's just me, but none of the animals from that article look remotely human, let alone 'almost human'. Not their poses, not their 'expressions' (which most of them don't have), nothing.

Also, am I the only one who finds it a touch creepy that the article uses 'intimate' to describe like five of the pictures...?
