Uchiha_Cycliste: I'm suggesting you are ALWAYS wrong. ALWAYS.
you are always an asshole.
You are *almost* always a liar.
you suck.

Hee hee! The guy who has nothing. Let the facts wash over you, sport shirt:

The State Department denied Tuesday it ever concluded that the deadly consulate attack Sept. 11 in Libya was an unplanned outburst prompted by an anti-Islam movie, despite public statements early on by some in the Obama administration suggesting that was the case.

The Obama administration used the film explanation for more than a week after assailants killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans. Most notably, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, said in several TV interviews five days after the attack that it appeared to be "spontaneous" violence spinning out of protests of the film.

Who wants to guess that our hero will spin out some spittle soaked ad hominem in response?

Place yer bets!

/I see that the peanut gallery has weighed in with the typical "Halfy is posting actual facts that disagree with me. That is teh trolling."

After his involvement in the Keating 5 clusterfark, McCain should just STFU and keep suckling away at that sweet government teat like he's been doing for the past 4 decades. Biggest con man ever.

Uchiha_Cycliste: BeesNuts: Uchiha_Cycliste: I heard on the radio that some woman involved with this whole kerfuffle had classified documents on her computer.
a) I don't know that, but I assume the radio was talking about the general's Mistress.
b) I'm not sure which show I was listening to, it was either the news at the top of the hour, News hour with Jim Lerher or BBC world news.

Muchas gracias all. Shady stuff, and I hadn't thought of the leverage angle...

It just had the smell of sensationalism all over it, and I try not to fall for that stuff. Unless it's real. dun dun dunnnnn indeed...

It does reek of sensationalism doesn't it? However, the point was brought up, and I happen to agree with, that being the director of the CIA he left himself up to blackmail, which is not so great. If his special lady friend is found to have documents she is not supposed to, I really want to believe that somehow she grabbed them herself, not that he sent them to her.
I don't think it's a problem that he cheated on his wife, that's a personal affair, I think it's a problem that a) he left himself vulnerable and b) he got caught =/. Let's face it, if he was able to get away with it and no one And I MEAN NO ONE knew, it's not really an issue. The Europeans totally have the better view of these things than us.

Agreed on all counts. I'll refrain from shouting LEAK from the rooftops, but I'll start keeping a closer eye on the story since it isn't complete horseshiat.

Yay...

/The moral here is: You are allowed ONE (1) Mistress. Not redeemable if that biatch be crazy, yo.

Fluorescent Testicle: heavymetal: Especially since they are the ones who voted to cut funding for embassy security yet refuse to acknowledge that it might have something to do with embassies having insufficient security.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this is why they voted to cut funding.

Me neither. It is eerily similar to their reasonong behind cutting stuff like education funding.

Cinaed: Is the death of four members of our diplomatic corps a serious thing? Yes.

Is the apparent high-school level of stupid drama involving the head of the farking CIA, members of the FBI, Uniformed Services, and more make one wonder what kind of retardation has afflicted these people and, potentially others ALSO a serious thing? Yes.

One is just a helluva lot more idiotic than the other.

Not even MacGruber could make a scandal with this.

The worst part of this "scandal" is that they're, like with Fast and Furious, trying to make the "coverup the real crime" argument. Except there's no evidence of a coverup. Or a crime. If this were a court of law, the judge would make a summary judgement - even if all the things the R's allege were true, there's no crime.

While I agree with the Senator regarding the Petraeus, and while I also agree that it is nothing less than tragic that four Americans are dead, let's have a little perspective on Benghazi:

June 14, 2002, U.S. consulate in Karachi, Pakistan
Suicide bomber kills 12 and injures 51.

February 28, 2003, U.S. consulate in Karachi, Pakistan
Gunmen on motorcycles killed two consulate guards.

July 30, 2004, U.S. embassy in Taskkent, Uzbekistan
Suicide bomber kills two.

December 6, 2004, U.S. consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Militants stormed and occupied perimeter wall. Five killed, 10 wounded.

March 2, 2006, U.S. consulate in Karachi, Pakistan
Suicide car bomber killed four, including a U.S. diplomat

September 12, 2006, U.S. embassy in Damascus, Syria
Gunmen attacked embassy with grenades, automatic weapons, and a car bomb. One killed and 13 wounded.

March 18, 2008, U.S. embassy in Sana'a, Yemen
Mortar attack misses embassy, hits nearby girls' school instead.

July 9, 2008, U.S. consulate in Istanbul, Turkey
Armed men attacked consulate with pistols and shotguns. Three policemen killed.

September 17, 2008, U.S. embassy in Sana'a, Yemen
Militants dressed as policemen attacked the embassy with RPGs, rifles, grenades and car bombs. Six Yemeni soldiers and seven civilians were killed. Sixteen more were injured.

Could you please clarify who specifically is meant by "some in the Obama administration"? Should be easy, if it's a quote. In addition, are the "some in the Obama administration" employees of the State Department?

Didn't Senator John Kerry choose John Edwards for his running mate ?

The same running mate who played up his wife cancer while porking some other chick that ended up having his bastard child ?

Man we better have another look at Kerry judgement.

/ Of course old Teddy replied when told his girl friend was pregnant. "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it."

Absolutely my friend:

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. In addition to Rice.

WTF is this shiat?

Article about McCain => John Kerry => Edwards => Affairs => Ted Kennedy => Chappaquidick?

Did I follow along right? I got a little lost after "Man we better have another look..."

At best they had an incident of poorly handled communication after a serious event. They was immediately off-set by Romney acting like a complete partisan, heartless douche.

The scandal started as a net loss in terms of GOP credibility and they continued to dig culminating in a complete when Romney shat his pants on the issue in the second debate. Yet they continued to dig. Notice how Romney wouldn't even bring-up Benghazzi in the third debate regarding foreign policy. Opted to basically agree with everything Obama has done while Obama took him apart.

You know, i don't usually do this, but you people appear intellectually incapable of even formulating a response, let alone understanding the issues.

All I had to do was post two facts: 1. Rice blamed the release of a video trailer on the attack. 2. the White House retracted that position. Simple, truthful, and yet you folks are left stammering with inane personal attacks, led by this joker. And this latest response is easily the most insipid of the lot.

I'd say come at me bro, but the bottom feeders in this thread seem incapable of doing that.

Did McCain not understand the question, or is his Alzheimer's running full force at this point? The "socialite" in question is just what led to the questions the caused them to open an investigation into Prateus, so the actual question is perfectly valid: Are the classified documents found in the possession of Paula Broadwell more of a security threat to the US than the Benghazi incident?

Fark you McCain, you used to have integrity, now it's like you've been Palined.

My God you are daft... 16.5 You can keep responding, and I'll keep not reading your responses. But, keep it up.

Long, long ago you lost any credibility. You have the intellectual integrity of, well, Romney I suppose. I'd sooner talk to a brick wall.

Oh man, that is fantastic! God damn, you know you've crawled up inside someone's head when they do that!

This is such a great thread! I love you guys.
