I truly have no idea what that headline means.

That's pretty freaking small, what with it having only a front end.

Re: the headline, if memory serves, Hooters once held a contest for their servers and the winner would win a new Toyota. The winner was given a small, toy car, a replica model of a Toyota car. Another company did something similarly and gave the winner a "toy Yoda" figurine.

So? Doesn't Frito-Lay have Pizza Hut serve shiatty pizza? And I'm pretty sure KFC is making small Pepsis.

This is more like Little Caesar's baking and delivering a Domino's pizza. Although the phenomenon of how soda is actually produced and sold in the US really is super interesting. It's mostly a matter of licensing the recipe and logo to bottling plants, etc., which then do the actual making of the drink.

Can we stop using chagrin?

Comments here are more interesting than the story.

BUT, were this a GM story, the right wingers would be in a farking TIZZY that the car was being made in Mexico.

I'd probably be chagrined...

If they put a more powerful engine in it than the Mazda 2 has, I might be on board for a test drive. The Mazda 2 is slightly underpowered. But it's an otherwise nice little car.

Hell yeah it is. Of all the cars I've ever owned (this is the fifth), it is my absolute favorite. It's light, it handles beautifully for being an economically-focused FWD, and I think it looks damn good... not as fussy or convoluted in its design as other small hatchbacks.
i50.tinypic.com

Yeah, it's a bit underpowered, but it handles my daily commute on the interstate with ease. Can't say that for a few cars I've had in the past. (Yeah, so, my car history isn't exactly superb :P )

If this deal shores up the future of the 2 in the North American market, that's fine by me :D
