I don't know, it's probably going to be hard to give more than 30 million people access to health care this next time around.

Based on his budgets, he dropped the the U3 from from 10% to 7.9% in 36 months. I think that will be hard to beat but he can do it.

Got us mostly out of Iraq
Saved GM and Chrysler at the least possible expense
Got health care coverage for 30 million more Americans
Kept a recession from becoming a Depression v2.0
Got Osama bin Laden
Got Khadhafi

What's next? Slapping Kim Jong Il in the face with his schweinstucker?

Coincidentally, Obama used his time machine to go back in time and take Bette Davis's eyes. But only after she was dead. He's nice like that.

Technically? Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong Il's father. Yes, the guy who died in 1994. This is the cult of personality in North Korea. Il-sung runs the nation from beyond the grave, defied and glorified as the great and eternal leader with supernatural powers. I'm not kidding.

You're right, he can't really improve on that since we elected nearly the same Congress.

Cue the John Boehner holding Lady Liberty hostage with a gun picture in 3, 2, 1....

Well what did you expect him to say? "I expect to totally slack off in my second term because I no long have to care about reelection"?

No matter how plausible it actually is (and to be fair I think it's likely he'll be at least a little better in some aspects) pretty much any President who gets reelected is going to say something like this.

Conservative bloggers promise more butthurt in the second term too.

The Weekly Standard is an American neoconservative[2][3][4][5] opinion magazine[6] published 48 times per year. Its founding publisher, News Corporation, debuted the title September 18, 1995. Currently edited by founder William Kristol and Fred Barnes, the Standard has been described as a "redoubt of neoconservatism" and as "the neo-con bible".[7][8] Since it was founded in 1995, the Weekly Standard has never been profitable, and has remained in business through subsidies from wealthy conservative benefactors such as former owner Rupert Murdoch.[9] Many of the magazine's articles are written by members of conservative think tanks located in Washington, D.C.: the American Enterprise Institute, the Ethics and Public Policy Center, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, and the Hudson Institute.

Not gonna click on that.

I thought it was all of the way out of Iraq, and mostly out of Afghanistan? AFAIK, the only people left in Iraq were supposed to be advisers that Iraq themselves requested...

Otherwise, i pretty much came here to say this, more or less.

S&P 500 is up 80% since Obama took office. He'll have a hard time matching that.

This is now the equivalent of Tommy Lasorda kicking dirt on the umpire about 4 hours after the game ended.

Republicans: You f*cked up -- epicly -- now is the time for cheap gin, dead hookers and spiritual rebirth, and if you can keep the rest of the world at arm's length while you go through Ponfar, it'd be great, thanks.

Oh, but that's not his doing. That's the result of the job creators being bootstrappy and saving themselves through self-regulation and austerity.

You'd do well to remember that.

Slowest, most fragile recovery ever. Remember, it bottomed right after he took office. Going up from there is mostly "well, it doesn't suck as bad as it did." Or in the world of Obamatrons "he saved us from another Depression!"

I think he did a pretty good job in his first term thus far (still a couple months left of that). I think he'll do at least as well if not better since he isn't having to worry about going through another election.

Yes lets listen to you Republicans about economic issues. You guys are so smart about this stuff.

Most everyone agreed there's still far to go. They were less likely to blame President Barack Obama for the economic troubles, however, than to point the finger at his predecessor, George W. Bush

It bottomed out because of the stimulus that they enacted, This depression isn't comparable to the one in the 80's which although bad, wasn't nearly this bad.

All recessions are not created equal. You can argue whether the recovery could have been faster, but the idea that is directly comparable to other recoveries is oversimplification. It could easily have been a depression, and the fact that it wasn't, and the President deserves some credit for that, is nothing to scoff at,

Deflection it is. Thanks, you never disappoint. How many times you gonna use this line?

It all boils down to a simple equation that the majority of Americans were smart enough to understand.

Romney = Bush (in terms of policy stances and advisers)

Bush f*cked up the economy.

Obama improved the economy.

In what realm does this not make your argument retarded?

Implementing a 1.6 trillion dollar tax on corporations (which I'm SURE they won't pass on to consumers in the form of higher prices...) and telling a Christian owned company that they have to pay for their employees' abortion pills...yep, he's off to a great start. :)

anyway, will 12 million new jobs put unemployment south of 6%?

Fart_Machine: You mean employees who pay for their insurance can't have services denied to them because of their employer's religion? The horror!

Unlike most people, I can see both sides of this argument and consider them to be valid concerns to the affected parties. But it would be similar to forcing a Muslim company to pay for heart medication for their employees if they eat too much bacon and develop coronary disease. They don't condone or endorse that behavior as part of their belief system, so why should they have to pay for the treatment of it?

/Love your handle, btw.
