Olivia Wilde was the best-and only-reason to sit through it.

czetie: I'm pretty sure you're trolling me, but I'll bite anyway. Two things.

Thing 1: Maybe my late-night grammar confused you, but what I'm pointing out about that MiB scene is that it doesn't remotely look like J and K are in the same physical space as the crashing spaceship. There's never any sense that they're standing in front of anything more than a screen, regardless of how the crash was put together.

Thing 2: If you don't think that the compositing in that scene is shiatty, I fear for you. Even the black of the night sky isn't black. And that's even without the glaring continuity error that has J & K reverse positions in the shots from the front (without spaceship) and the back (with spaceship). It's a completely dud moment in an otherwise-enjoyable movie, which makes me suspect you are trolling.

ILM certainly seems to have an A and B team.

/would work for either

/and why is gold valuable everywhere in the galaxy?

It's uncommon and it's very useful in electrical applications.

It's uncommon on earth but it's also uncommon everywhere in the universe? I guess it is, the Ferengi love it too.

Nah, Ferengis like latinum. The gold itself is worthless to them. Any replicator can make gold, but without it they'd have to make change with an eyedropper.

Son of Thunder: It should have been the most awesome movie ever.

You obviously had unreal expectations

Mugato: Daniel Craig: "Mumble, mumble, mumble I'm a cowboy."

Harrison Ford: ""Mumble, mumble. mumble, there's some aliens".

Space ships for some reason, end.

It's a good conductor. Death Stars don't wire themselves.

Tax Boy: I paid to see this movie and got exactly what was advertised.

It was full of cowboys and aliens.

THIS.

It said Cowboys and Aliens, it delivered Cowboys, Aliens and Olivia Wilde. I left satisfied.

Sam Rockwell's character was great. It was a fairly standard wuss-redemption story but he's very likable so it worked.

The Kurgan Clancy Brown was awesome and should have been in the entire movie.

I thought it was entertaining. Is it a movie that I'll talk about years from now? No, I tend to forget about it completely. I've seen it twice and enjoyed it each time, but it's the sort of movie you have on in the background while you're sitting around talking with friends.

If anything, I think Ford's acting took him out of his (recent) regular roles and I loved him for that.
