This was hilarious - been missing the Digital Shorts since Samberg left the show.

Can Mokiki fall in love?

I remember Taran Killam from Nickelodeon shows and "Big Fat Liar" when he was a teen (yes I have kids.)

I think he is one of the best things on SNL these days. Glad he's getting some pub.

And his wife is hot, of course.

Killam is one of my favorite people on the show now, but I could not stand that bit. Fast-forwarded after about 45 seconds.

Yeah, didn't do much for me either. Loved the Homeland spoof, though.

I've never seen the show, so it made no sense to me. But apparently, according to those who do, it was spot-on.

The worst part about Abby Elliott being gone? No more Quirky Girl with Killam's Michael Cera impression.

It is one of the most bizarre things to ever air on "SNL," yet, the next day, everyone was talking about the Sloppy Swish. (I swear that I am not making this up: I've already been invited to a Sloppy Swish-themed karaoke party.)

Yeah, because your little circle of a dozen hipster doofuses is a representative sample of everybody.

I haven't been missing Samberg or the digital shorts (the only one I ever really liked was Lazy Sunday), but loved this.

Wifee and I called "King of the Bongos" as soon as the piece opened. Loved it for just pure silliness.

I was bigger on the mascot video with Bruno Mars from a few weeks ago, but I'm liking these videos this year. They feel like throwbacks to the great, weird Albert Brooks shorts of the 70's (and the other guy, the one who did shorts like Look Back In Anger with John Belushi as an old man wandering around the SNL graveyard).

I could tell that was from Manu Chao as soon as that song started playing

This is the best cast they've had since the early nineties. No camera hogs or gigglers. Don't think the fat chick is funny, but the one who does Ellen and Jodi foster is hilarious.

Been watching since the late 80s and this cast is up there with the worst. I know, opinions are like a-holes.

I'd rather hear him discuss what it is like to make sweet love to Cobie Smulders.

Interesting. Dick in a Box won pretty universal acclaim around these parts.

The mannerisms were good but the voice was more Mickey Mouse than Cera (too high pitched).

a pretty regular viewer since the mid 80s and yeah, there are some weird sketches so far but....it was a pretty substantial makeover. kristen wiig, love her or hate her, was in ever other sketch, and samberg (whom i really don't like, never cared much fo rhte video shorts or whatevery they're called) was also in a fiar number of skits....give them time to find their "voice". they added what, 4 new people?

the one that seemed odd to me was that zaftig brunette 3-4 years ago who lasted one season. she could sing, she wsa funny, she could play hot, she could play ugly, she was pretty versatile....and Lorne thanked her by firing her after a year. ehhh.

/was also mad when they fired nancy "now married to steve carrell" walls.

The only one of those I remember is a guy lost in the middle of the desert and dying of thirst and he comes across an old soda machine that filled up the little cups. he has just enough money and as what always happened with those machines, the soda dispensed and then the cup dropped.

After looking up his SNL films on wikipedia, nothing listed sounded like that so I don't know what I'm remembering

I think that was one of those promos they show before a movie starts, before the previews. It was for Coke if memory serves.

Huh, when I saw it last wekend, I had the volume a bit low and thought Kenan was saying "stop 'n swish." Funny either way, I guess.

At first I was all "Meh."

But I'll watch anything where someone spews a bodily fluid onto Anne Hathaway's face, and while I have obvious preferences about which ones, this falls into "close enough" territory.

/don't tell me it didn't give you that "so weird" half-chub; you know it did
