Went to Disney two weeks ago and I have to say, that ride is rough. Rougher than even Universal's Rip Ride Rockit and its four mostly unnecessary stops. Might just be the lack of individual seating (which means you go banging into whomever you rode with every hard turn), but still.

TV show? Hell, not even sure you could make a Magical World of Disney movie out of it.

We already have tv shows based on rides - Snooki, Jwoww, etc

I was hoping it would be based on Splash Mountain. The characters and story are so good! It is a shame they never made a movie based on Brer Fox and Rabbit. Maybe they could be characters in a story told to children?

One of the best rides in the park! But I'd prefer a show based on the Tiki Room.

Dang it- that was always one of my favorite rides at Disney. Now they'll probably change it to match the TV show just like they put animatronic Johnny Depps everywhere in the Pirates ride.

Sometimes those changes are improvements. The animatronic Lindsay Lohan really spiced up the Herbie the Love Bug ride.

CSB:

I was in an antique store a couple of weeks ago and they were selling "The Song of the South" on DVD not sure what they used to make it but the example playing looked to be of decent quality.

Was it the one outside of Helen GA.? I bought one there the week before last but I haven't watched it yet so I can't attest to the quality.

It was released on laserdisc overseas. It might be a transfer from that.

This store was in an old house just outside the city limits of Helen. I think they must be owned by the same person or buy their stuff from same source. Really cool store though, three floors of stuff and crammed packed.

Wait, that Hungry Hungry Hippos movie is actually a real thing? I saw that mock poster made up a while back when Battleship was first announced, but seriously??? You've already got one foot through the gates of Hell, you may as well go all the way and make it a survival action movie a la Anaconda, Lake Placid, or The Edge. Not some crappy animated movie for kids. I want to see hippos killing hot, sexed up teens on the beach at night, an old man fishing on his boat who gets torn to shreds, and a Blackhawk helicopter launching missiles at the damn thing as it rampages through a small New England town. WE NEED MICHAEL BAY. There, I said it.
