So a winter sports version is coming? Sweet.

That was about three minutes too long.

Red Bull sponsors a golfer? Man, that guy's short game is extreme!

I made it through about half of it.

Does Red Bull even sell drinks anymore, or are they just a full-time marketing company now?

This is a company that sponsors an annual contest where people build "flying" machines and then see how far they get before they fall into the water. Of course they know about Rube Goldberg machines.

At least Red Bull is using their money for cool shiat.

Rather than buying the CEO's new Mega-Yacht or some crap.

Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't edit in the video of a motorcyclist jumping over the plane in flight from a few months back.

They do that too. The CEO has two hangars full of all sorts of cool old planes.

I don't know how Red Bull can afford all of this 'cuz that stuff tastes like ass.

Ended poorly.

It should have started with skydiver diving out with a board, and ended with skydiver getting back into the helicopter with the board.

However, the middle was also pretty boring.

It is right in front of your face...

The reason they NEED to spend all their money on marketing stunts like this bullshiat is BECAUSE their energy drink tastes like ass. They are no different from any other energy drink, except they have cornered the market of "extreme sport marketing".

They are one of the better examples of how an effective marketing campaign can make it seem like you have a superior product...

/I'm getting really sick of this company

Normally I get low carb Monster but today I will buy Red Bull.

That's some darn good brain washing

I must be super petty or something.

About 4 seconds into the video, when that guy was doing the countdown on his fingers, the way he pointed the "one" at the camera made me immediately hate him and hope this was a video of him falling to his death.

It'd be neat if this was all done in one take, but something tells me it wasn't...

The guy on the dirt bike was pretty farking sweet. Very fluid.

I liked it.

And, the golf shot was a piece of cake...come on...all you have to do is hit it off a backboard to a bowl?

PYROY: The guy on the dirt bike was pretty farking sweet. Very fluid.

This is the part that is amazing to me. Ten years ago, doing a backflip on a dirt bike was unheard of. It was the craziest thing imaginable and people suffered violent injuries trying to do it. Now? shiat, people are doing it like nothing for some random energy drink commercial.

pudding7: Does Red Bull even sell drinks anymore, or are they just a full-time marketing company now?

All consumer brands are full time marketing companies first. Red Bull just happens to be really farking good at it. Ford doesn't make cars without first marketing cars. Without marketing, Anheuser Busch would only need make 1 kind of beer. Nabisco doesn't put hardly any effort into making cereal, but they put a shiatload of their effort into making cereal appealing to differing market segments.

shenanigans. Lolo didn't knock over one hurdle.

But really, I don't get the Red Bull hate. It's decent energy crap as far as energy crap goes. I enjoy the hell out of a lot of their marketing junk like F1, the air races, MotoGP sponsorship, space jump and other assorted shiat they put on. Sure, this is one of the weaker videos I've seen from theem. But, I've been entertained more often than not by the Red Bull stunts.

Best "Rube Goldberg machine in an ad" video is the Honda ad.

Every rube goldberg video I've ever seen, and every comic created by the man that invented the term shows a long string of events, all carried out without human interaction. Having a few things go off, and then tag-team the next sports guy to ride his bike/skateboard/motorcycle/car/truck to ride off is not rube goldberg

Redbull in Vodka seems to seriously fark me up in a good way.

I have to give Red Bull credit. I hate their product, but I love their brand. Normally if someone says Red Bull, this is what comes to mind, not that shiatty drink that somehow makes rail vodka insanely expensive.

2012-11-15 01:45:47 AM
Red Bull are obviously not marketing for the inner IT-nerd in all of us.

Interesting that I've been marketed out of the product. Hell, there are times when I wonder if I'm doing something wrong by not needing to visit Ms Tampax.

Wow, that's the most complete collection of those I've seen yet. Wonder what the actual show is about...

Thanks.
