Rubio is a dweeb.

RexTalionis: Republicans seem to think that all their problems with Hispanics would be forgotten if they nominate Marco Rubio in 2016.

I don't know this for sure, but my understanding from friends is that Cubans and most other Hispanic subgroups aren't exactly on the best of terms.

Plus HIspanics actually care about issues and stuff.

Hes up for re-election in a few years. I'd say its time to primary him for being such a soft on immigration RINO.

Paris1127: I think Cuba will be for Obama what China was for Nixon. One day in the next four years (probably 2015 or 16), Air Force One is going to land in Havana and Obama's gonna meet one of the Castros.

/but first he'd help make Puerto Rico a state, so that Cuba will stay away

Nah, Obama's never going to be able to go to Cuba because it would use up too much political capital. Only a Republican is going to be able to normalize relations with Cuba, or at least not a Democrat that the Republicans are convinced is the Marx-iest Marxist since Marx.

They already think Obama's in cahoots with Castro and Chavez.
Then again, they also think he's in cahoots with Assad, and probably the ghosts of Gaddafi and Saddam.

True.

Honestly, I think Marco Rubio is probably one of the only politicians who could pull off normalizing relations with Cuba before the older generation all dies out. Anything else would still be political suicide if you want to win Florida. Not that I think normalizing relations with Cuba is a good enough reason to elect an idiot like Marco Rubio to the White House, but he's one of the very few who might be able to do it sometime before the Castros all become zombies.

No doubt the GOP still has a lock down on the older Cuban demographic.

Cubans like myself, who are younger and born in America unlike our parents? Not so much.

Seems more and more like the GOP are that drunk guy losing all his money at the casino's blackjack table at 4 am thinking if he just plays one more hand THEN he'll hit the big time and be rich beyond his wildest imagination.

ManateeGag: Seriously? Most of the Cubans I know HATE Obama because they think he's a communist.

Absolutely. Besides, Rubio is a RINO and is useless as balls on Richard Simmons.
