But with Fox News, there's always a chance for a moment of clarity from one of the talking heads, an "is this just math you do as a republican?" moment. I seriously doubt you'd get such a moment on this network. I expect they all fully believe in the particular brand of crazy they will be spouting.

CNN makes me throw things at the TV but because of their incompetence and hologram Wolf, not because of their bias, just stupidity.

I about died laughing when that Fox bottle-blonde asked Karl Rove that question. The look on his face was a mix of "Oh shiat, I'm farked," and "Oh no you di'int!"

Also, do eeet! Hopefully this leads to the true split between the Republican party and the teabaggers. If we can shatter that party in half the Democrats will run roughshot over both of them for the next 10-20 years. It would be smart for liberals to help bankroll this teabagger news network to help get it started. Its basically the same as pushing the GOP off of a cliff.

Patriot is simply awesome because they broadcast a few of the B-level guys who'll say even more outrageous shiat compared to Hannity, Beck etc. Beck yesterday morning wasn't actually half bad but thats because he was gushing over Skyfall. Mark Levin however, the butthurt could be cut with a knife

I think this is great; there will finally be a counterweight to MSNBC. Everyone claims Fox is biased but that's just because they aren't used to both sides getting equal time. In most of the liberal media, conservative opinions are either ignored or given barely any air time while the liberal commentators and their enablers the anchors themselves do all the talking. On Fox both sides are treated fairly and you get the balanced view. It's a little left-wing for me sometimes with all of the time they give to the liberals so I'm glad we'll finally have a proper station for pure conservative thought and opinion.

Well, when they lost in a landslide in the Electoral College, and by a clear margin in the Popular Vote too, but have the cognitive dissonance that only a Republican can be a legitimate President, they've gotta find some chicken to fark.

So, they're salving the butthurt with the idea that most of America supported Romney and Obama stole the election because even though he got more popular AND electoral votes. . .the minority of people who live in those big, open rural areas supported Rmoney and only those no-good urban liberals supported Obama, so Romney should have won because he had more land supporting him..

You know, it's that American tradition, one acre, one vote. . .waitaminute.

Note, we're also seeing the following chickens farked: Americans just want free stuff so they voted against their own best interest, Real America is dead and its time to move to a free country like Canada, Real America is dead and its time to secede, Real America is dead and its time for a violent revolution, Democrats stole the election by rigged polls spread by Nate Silver and the Liberal Media, Liberals stole the election by suppressing Republican votes. . .

Hell, if I had a henhouse right now I'd have to keep Republicans away with a shotgun just to protect all my hens from the chickenfarking they are doing nowadays to treat the severe acute butthurt.

whatsupchuck: Is the "Tea Party" still a thing? Really?

I thought that the expression had become little more than a pejorative by now.

Really? Hmm. I think I heard that the GOP was going to be marginalized Southern Party after 2008.

Here's a prediction -- 2014 election night when all the under 35 voters stay home because Obama didn't do all kinds of magic by executive order....he'll still be black and the Senate will belong to the Tea Party.

"Disappointment" with Obama led to the 2010 GOP sweep of state houses which made the House reliably Republican for another 2-3 election cycles and guarantees more obscructionism which guarantees more "disappointment" etc.

Shaggy_C: I think this is great; there will finally be a counterweight to MSNBC.

Heh.

Reminds me of one night way back when I had cable, was flipping back and forth between Fox and CNN, both had the 4 box screen of different commentators arguing some point. On Fox, everyone was screaming, trying to yell louder than the other so as to be heard yet it only resulted in a migraine inducing wargarbarl. Switched to CNN, they're arguing the same argument and switching between people, there were some rolling of the eyes but no one was interrupting anyone; that is until one guy got bent and begun screaming and interrupting the others. The host keeps asking him to calm down, let someone else speak and not to scream on her show. He continues after a couple warnings until his feed was cut. She looks straight at the camera and says: I warned him three times, if he can't have an adult conversation then he can't be on my show.

Yeah, that is just what we need. A one party monopoly (even more so than already exists with the Republicrats)

A network like that is almost pure profit. You don't need the overhead of field reporters or fact checkers.

Goddammit.

You know what though, sweetie, so did I. Yet somehow I managed to remain sane. It's called using rational logic and reasoning. You know, that squishy thing that resides inside your skull - behind your eyeballs. Yeah, that thingy.

You could just say, empty space, why all those mumbo jumbo?

Didn't you hear? The Tea Party died on Nov 6 after a long and hard fought battle against stage 3 reality. Burn in hell Tea Party.

I always felt that if Democrats really wanted to hurt Fox News, they should start up an even crazier right-wing news channel.

BraveNewCheneyWorld: The left in this country is farther to the right than most European right wing parties. It's like our right wing doesn't even have a goal, other than "pull anyone left of me farther towards the right". Sad thing is, they're winning the game, and nobody seems to notice.

I blame the education system in America. Allowing the education system to fall under states rights in several areas has left the majority of the south and rural areas underfunded and with poor teachers/curriculum. As a result America has some of the dumbest people in the industrialized world. Bigoted dumb rednecks that consistently fall prey to conspiracy theories and siding against their own best interests.

That has a high chance of backfiring. FOX already sways people into blatantly false propositions. An ever derpier network could sway people even farther to the right. Because of Poe's Law you could put up almost any crazy thing and not only would it be believable but a large percentage of people would be convinced by your message. Even people who didn't buy it would start saying "Well sure, FOX is a little right of center but have you seen those nuts on the Tea Party Network?"

Same with everything, though... Like the price of gas, for example- Price jumps a dollar, people moan.. Price goes down 50 cents, people happy... Later on, price goes up a buck.. People moan.. Price goes down 50 cents, people happy... Later on price goes up a buck, people moan... Etc. Etc. Etc.
Pretty soon we're happy it's gone down to 9.85 a gallon.

"We spent too much too much time running to the center, and I think that was a mistake."

They still don't get it, and that's fine, I want to see the GOP go up, go up like the Hindenburg.

There's always going to be some splinter group that claims the main group isn't hardcore enough. That's what the John Birchers were, and Goldwater and Buckley made sure to run those assholes off. Then Nixon courted them right back in. So it's sad, but we haven't seen the last of these rubes, not by a long shot.

FTA: Which raises the question: is there really a need for Tea Party journalism, especially at a time when the once-trendy ideological crusade-which dominated the political landscape a mere two years ago-is being discredited, reviled, and blamed for much of what is damaging today's defeated and dispirited GOP?

Of course there's a need. Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to hold onto my world view in the face of reality? Your side has "facts" and "science" and "math." But my side will have VOLUME. Good luck infiltrating my brain with "ideas." VOLUME is more effective than tin foil!

bmongar: mayIFark: DubyaHater: Whiskey Pete: How will they closed caption it for all the illiterate teabaggers?

There will be a still image of a Mexican-looking individual using his EBT card at Wal-Mart in the lower right hand corner of your screen. He'll be wearing a sombrero with Obama's picture on it and rolling his shopping cart over the American flag.
/I've been spending too much time reading FreeRepublic

He will be wearing a t-shirt that says "proudly undocumented".

/me too, about freeper. I have not been there really at all before the election. But since then, to enjoy their pain, I have started visiting them (and listen to Patriot, as I said).

You can get the worst of free republic without giving them clicks.

From the discussion of General Allen's affair:

Throwing out something. Two spellings of Orka or Orca. One spelling Orka. One spelling Orca. and the Or in both. We know Orka is a fish (very large fish, and the killer nickname) in the ocean. We know Orca is a corporation, or a project employed by the Romney Campaign to get out the vote, or is Orca something different from the two prior. Orca is recent or not? Breaking the two word down further. Take Orka. Is the state of Kansas implied or a fact in some sort of code? Now Orca. Is the state of California implied or code? Now look at the states. Am familiar with both states and facts and am at this point forgetting the implied of the implications. Sex, Sex, Sex. Agreement sex is being used as a distraction. Am not forgetting that also. Digging Deeper, but must back away for the moment

I am tempted to search the Free Republic archives for a posting from the same user who describes President Obama wtih the phrase "Possibly homosexual? Must remember to investigate further."
