"This end should point toward the ground if you want to go to space. If it starts pointing toward space, you are having a bad problem and you will not go to space today."

Reminds me of:
thisainthell.us

// also an apocryphal part of a military explosives training course:
// "once you pull the pin, Mr. Grenade is no longer your friend."

Arkanaut: xanadian: The fact that the words "rocket," "oxygen," and "helium" aren't in the top 1000 words used by people kind of bothers me...

Well, they're not really things we talk about on an everyday basis. That said, a world where we talk about rockets and helium every day would be awesome to live in.

This just in. We have breaking news! A fresh wave of helium rockets are raining down on our cities for the 4th night in a row. Nobody knows when the moon nazis will make their intentions clear...

Their copyright lets you do whatever you want with their stuff as long as you don't make any money off of it. They'd be 100% cool with you going to the FedEx store, blowing it up, and having them print it.

How could they print it after you blow up their store? Doesn't even seem like they'd be WILLING to.

Bennie Crabtree: Gawd, I still have a hard time believing XKCD is popular when it is the most obvious low-hanging fruit comic since Ziggy. I mean it's not bad but it is also not in any way unique. I guess that might be why it is popular, but that would be depressing.

Yeah, Friday's joke about traditional vs Bayes statistics was just so gauche. I mean, don't they realize that Simpsons already did it?

That part made me giggle for a good hour yesterday.

Oh yes. That is an awesome line.
