Why on earth would somebody put marijuana in a fecking "Rice Krispie" (tm) treat?

Eating it is way more potent. Eat a pot brownie from a pot dispensary and see. Fark you up real good.

they have to test the markets so they can prove to the masses it doesn't cause face eatings. cause more people will be using it if it's legal (not really people are squares)

I've never tried a vaporizer but smoking triggers migraines for me. Eating doesn't.

I think I got the wrong vaporizer. Magic Flight Launch Box? It's nice and compact, but such a biatch to use that I shelved it and went back to the glass piece.

Why not? Just a THC delivery medium. There are pot lolly pops for cripes sake. And as I said before, cooking the THC (with a fat like butter) makes it very potent, more than smoking.

I am not expert ... but I do find it weird that the article claims that dependency problems are potentially  worse when eaten. Traditionally, smoking or other methods of getting drugs into the blood (and therefore brain) quicker cause worse addiction issues than eating where the absorption rate is much slower.

Pot opens windows in the minds of creative people, but doesn't turn luddites into creatives. Rice Krispy treats are almost un-f*ck-up-able for even the most clueless "cook." Thus there are going to be complicated and simple recipes floating around.

That being said, I'll not be exploiting either because I don't live in either state, I have a job that requires I abstain, and I've gone this long without it. I'm glad others will get to enjoy their USA-made treats in peace, though.

Mostly vape, eat when you want to be baked for a long time, occasionally, burn it old-school. That would seem like a logical mix to me.

I'd only suggest eating it if you have absolutely nothing to do for the day. Ate a brownie one of my friends made once and ended up passing out for around eight hours. Then again I never smoke and rarely use marijuana so your results may vary.

When I was very young, I and some friends ate a bunch of brownies, After twenty whole minutes we were not feeling it, so we each ate another. Twenty minutes later, still not feeling it, we each ate another. Twenty minutes later, we each had a mild buzz, ate another.

Two days later, we were still wasted and it was time for Geometry class.

I've never been a fan of vapes because of the set-up and delivery method. I like to feel my hits, and sucking in an air bag (or tube) just doesn't do much for me. I know it works, but I feel like I'm just sucking in air. I like the throat punch a good water pipe can deliver.

Yes.

Well, actually, vaporize it, then the leftover from that can be baked into stuff.

I never had the chance to eat pot brownies during my smoke filled youth :(

Anyway, I just wonder what it would be like to go on a pot laced junkfood binge. It would be like drinking ocean water while stranded in a life boat. The more you intake, the more you want until you eventually die.

2012-11-13 10:00:45 AM
My advice. Make sure you are not allergic before trying to eat pot cookies/ etc.

The side effects can look a lot like a bee sting allergic reaction if you are ( or at least they did in the test run by some people I know).

Still not legal in Ky but man it would be good for our farmers if it was.

I don't smoke pot, but I am all for the complete legalization. Anyone who has done 5 minutes of research on WHY it was made illegal to begin with realizes how farking dumb it is.

Unfortunately, there are two major obstacles - first, gov't organizations like the DEA tend to not want to give up any portion of their funding, so they will use all the scare tactics in the world to keep it illegal. Second, the for-profit prison industry relies on pot offenders to help keep prisons stocked. If weed were legalized, they would have to work a lot harder to find replacement prisoners (and thus replacement income).

Decriminalizing/Descheduling MJ is going to be a lot easier than federal "legalization" of recreational use sales. The main hurdle you're going to have to clear is the FDA. It's still got to be approved as safe to market as a "dietary supplement or herb", or as an OTC substance since it was scheduled previously as a highly restricted prescription. And if you want to market it to treat any disease or condition, you're going to have to demonstrate safety and efficacy before the FDA will allow you to do that.

Yeah, I never did eat any pot laced food during my smoking years. A friend and I did try to make some once though and didn't know you had to reduce the thc out of the pot. We just threw a half ounce into some brownie mix and baked. didn't work out, gave up trying after that.

Nah, it exists, but it isn't really a problem with pot so much as the people involved. Addictive personalities combined with self-medication and blam! you've got a person addicted to pot.

We bet our friend in high school he couldn't go 2 weeks without it. He lost 200 bucks on that. This is a guy earning minimum wage, who was willing to give up a good 40 hours of work just to not go without smoking for two weeks. Meanwhile, non-addicted people would give up just any non-essential item in life for two weeks to earn what was probably a week and a half's wage.

Sigh.... We really need to start teaching American government in schools again. This petition is pointless. The President of the United States has no authority to add or remove a substance from one of the schedules of the CSA. This action is at the discretion of the US Food and Drug Administration, which is an independent agency. This is to say that while the president may have an opinion, he is enjoined from attempting to influence the FDA's decisions and he cannot force them to do anything. He can appoint the FDA administrator and he can fire him/her, but little else. Further, the FDA can declassify marijuana, but it would take an act of Congress to decriminalize it.

Psychological and Pseudoaddictive behaviors related to self-medication for other undiagnosed psychatric issues, usually.

Really, the only people you don't want using pot are the schitzotypical and schitzophrenic disorder people. The receptors involved in the neurobiology of cannabanoids are also involved in these disorders and can induce psychosis and dellusional breaks from reality. (It's the reason synthetic, highly potent cannabanoids like K2/Spice can induce behaviors and symptoms that are often associated with schitzophrenia.)

But as an outgoing president, and likely someone retiring from politics altogether, he is in a great position to use the bully pulpit on this one. He will personally have no political downside to support it. The more liberal dems can get behind him and be vocal. The less authoritarian conservatives can hop on board as well. The more authoritarian conservatives will be forced to admit they are putting marijuana out there as more important than our budget concerns and probably look bad as a result.

Really, anything that gets more people talking about it is a step in the right direction, simply because prohibition is an issue that just can't win on the facts to any reasonable people.
