From a very fair and balanced source, too.

Liberals have always been the real racists
Obama stopped caring about manufacturing jobs the day he was elected
Bill Cllinton's proud legacy of corrupting our children
Democrats are killing the dream of an education for poor children
Requiem for a misogynist: Ted Kennedy (1932-2009)

Hell, cost of living is so high, 55K/year for a single guy is keeping my budget too tight, I may go apply myself!!

/what do you mean sell my 2010 M5?

The Republican solution is to get rid of the food stamp program.

Ta-da! All fixed.

2012-11-12 11:56:08 AM
I was aware of these numbers over a month ago. What they actually show is food stamp users peaking over the summer.

2012-11-12 11:56:26 AM
This is unconscionable. Those people should be left to starve.

2012-11-12 11:58:16 AM
Yeah, the recession had nothing to do with the growing use of food stamps correlation does not mean causation. It is all due to the lazy 47% not wanting to work. They have life so easy I am going to quit my job and join them. Just kicking it on the beach drinking brewskis it's gonna be sweet!

I really do hope some nonzero number of conservative asswipes give the dole a shot.

It'll be approximately like the Onion article about the undercover cop figuring out that dealing drugs is backbreaking labor.

The worst part is that some of them have. It didn't convince them as they saw their situation was totally different.

Is this more of that "we need to pay teachers more" communism? They get 3 months of vacation! Of course they make less!

No, the current narrative is that Obama's policies are killing the economy (even though it's growing), forcing more and more people onto foodstamps.

The recession, killer tornadoes, Hurricane Isaac, wildfires, and an unprecedented drought have nothing to do with it.

Note: That 47.1M number doesn't include Sandy victims. I'm on the Jersey Shore, about 2 miles from the ocean. Drive just 1 1/2 miles east of my house and it looks like a war zone. Sooooo many people on the Shore lost their homes and businesses. Not to mention all the revenue lost from businesses being without power for at least a week. Yeah, that foodstamp number's gonna spike BIG TIME next month.

I bet Wal-Mart is hiring you lazy no-job-having bums!

What's that? Wal-Mart employees collect $2.66 billion a year in government assistance/food stamps?

But yeah, it's Obama's fault.

2012-11-12 12:29:52 PM
Oh for farks sake. They don't have the economy to bust his balls on, they certainly don't have foreign policy so food stamps, really? Is that what the republican party is now?

WTF Examiner? Hid the numbers till after the election to give a false sense of economic growth?
You reported these numbers yourself on September 5th-- 2 months ago

Hell, I remember this being cited by Romney(and surrogates) on the campaign trail for the last month of the election.

So? The people have spoken...it what we want.

2012-11-12 12:51:08 PM
Maybe we should start a petition to ask that the Tea Baggers be given a $5,000 tax credit to GTFO of the US if they don't like it

Dude, you cannot POSSIBLY be that naive. We've got at least six months of extreme butthurt to work through until the conservatives and FARK IndependentsTM begin bleating about 2014.

US. population is also growing. My math says it's about 6.6% of the population... Is that figure higher than ever?

A surge in food stamps when kids stop getting discounted/free school lunches? Clearly, this is some kind of conspiracy.

Dancin_In_Anson: So? The people have spoken...it what we want.

We want to have Walmart underpay their associates so much so that they have to collect record numbers of foodstamps?

You know, if we simply raised the minimum wage I bet we could get those numbers to drop in a hurry.

Indeed.

Hey guys, just let it go. I've visited Germany, France and Italy. They're nice places. True those places are currently trying to be more like us but that doesn't me that we should worry about being more like them! Just let it go and let it happen. Double digit unemployment, massive social services, and zero national pride is in our future and there really is nothing we can do to stop it. So why try? A major of this population wants to give up and wants to be subjugated. It's not so bad, and it only hurts more if you try.

2012-11-12 02:34:18 PM
Not surprisingly, the highest concentration of food stamp recipients is among red states.

2012-11-12 02:37:27 PM
This just in: US population is the highest it has ever been. Also, 40% of vacation days are taken on Monday and Friday.

2012-11-12 02:38:23 PM
Well, that's the number I've been hearing from the Conservatards for the past forever anyway, so apparently it wasn't much of a secret.

2012-11-12 02:38:25 PM
So.. how's all that trickle down stuff been working out, Republicans? Taxes are just about the lowest they've ever been. Corporate profits are pretty much at an all time high and wall street is soaring.

Tell me again how weath up top means things are better off for those on the bottom?

Please..use small words..

2012-11-12 02:38:30 PM
Implied: Obama changed the goal posts to make more people go on Food Stamps!

Reality: Low Taxes begets Job Creators are a f*cking myth in this trickle-down-economics derpstopian future of ours.

Man, you guys went from "American Exceptionalism!" to "America is a worthless sh*thole that deserves to crumble" in one single presidential term.

Makes me think you never really believed in this country in the first place.

Oh, there it is.

Enable moochers to be lazy and you've essentially enslaved them. Once it's easier to do nothing and accept what your masters give you there is little to no incentive to do otherwise. You know today your master will feed you. Tomorrow you will be fed as well.

Without a master, you might starve. Or you might become rich. But with a master you know you'll get your meal. Stay safe, stay enslaved.

This would be great - we've even got a lot of roads for them to repair - except the Republicans are united in opposition to any sort of infrastructure repairs. Why don't you take it up with them?

Seriously, STFU about people on food stamps. It's not a stigma to have government assistance.

I am sure all the republicans who are appauled by this will submit a bill proposing that the minimum wage be increased.

No, I love your kind of extremely disconnected "logic."

Let's hear some more examples of it.
