We all know people you don't. And when we get together, we talk about you a lot.

HAMMERTOE: No matter how skillfully and artfully done, the very best tattoo on a beautiful woman will, at best, be an analogue to gluing a Velvet Elvis to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

All. of. This.

Pretty much my impression as well. A testament to the fact that only the most cliched and mundane of intellects could spend so much time and energy worrying about their "unique individualism". Doth protest too much, and all of that.

I dunno, but there's going to be a lot of people to point and laugh in the future at when that retro tattoo fad gets dated. Congrats, you just got a mullet for life.

The more visible tattoos a woman has, the more you're going to regret dating her when she lets the crazy out of the bottle.

We're at a point where it's more rebellious to NOT get a tattoo.

I guess I'm an old fart. Or maybe I'm not so insecure I feel the need to FTW with my very appearance.

Sure, I've had long hair a couple times, and a couple mohawks. But this increasing need for m'fers to wear everything on their sleeve is annoying.

Its like idiot stoners wearing all that "420" gear....why not just go up to a cop and ASK to be harassed?

This AW component to youth culture is getting out of hand.

But, if it wasn't, then there wouldn't be oodles of Stickam videos of young hotties gettin' nude in their messy bedrooms for me to look at.

I'd like to see a regression that shows a crazy-in-bed/crazy-at-dinner axis.

Like, exactly at what point does the ass stop making up for the mood swings, irrational behavior, outbursts, etc...

Yeah, you're right. And to be fair, the whole tats n piercings wave seems to have started with my peers. Buncha trailer-park Godsmack fans, anyway. Now, I'm starting to see 40-somethings all around with their faded tribal armbands and junk, and I just laugh to myself. I've never even had so mach as a pierced ear. And, to be completely honest, at least a portion of my avoidance of such "modification" has a lot to do with the fact that I'm kind of a pussy.

Her show sucked, all it was is a bunch of drama between tatoo artists. Then someone would come into the studio looking to get a dead relative inked on their body. I did like the skanky broad with big jugs wearing all black that worked for the competitor. Fist of an angry god.

Ha, it'll be funny when all the hipster/scene kids with their big ass gauged ears are that age. I'm in the same boat as you though, no piercing or tats, the former because I don't see the point and the latter because I don't want to fark my body up and regret it. Yikes.
Sounds like a crippling case of penis envy, or she's a lesbian and for some reason hasn't come to terms with it.

Whatever it is, it sounds like a nightmare to be married to. Can you imagine how hyper-ultra-competitive she'd be with damn near everything you do? F*ck me, that would get old fast.

Not so sure. The fact that she designs and builds custom bikes for a living is really intriguing and inspirational. That also tells me that she'll always be able to be independent and I respect that so much!

Assuming the bottom doesn't fall out of the cookie cutter chopper market that is. I used to work at a decently busy multi line dealership (Honda,Yamaha,Suzuki,Fantic,Beta) and it's not like even we were selling all that many bikes a year (and alot of those were motocross/enduro/trials/roadrace bikes that racers would replace every season) compared to a car dealership. Hard for me to believe folks are moving very many customs a year, year after year. Even if you're fabbing your own frames, the component cost alone is pretty high, and the mark up can't be THAT good.

That's the only piercing I have. I got it pierced in the early '90s because I received a free 68030 CPU die at a Commodore show, and I made an earring out of the die.

I don't know of any custom builders who specialized in choppers still making a living. Choppers went out of style a few years before the big recession hit. Cafe racers, bobbers, flat trackers, and more eclectic types seem to be doing just fine though. The only ones still building choppers would be Arlen Ness, and his douchebag imitators. Roland Sands, Richard Pollack, James Hammarhead, Stellan Egeland, and a whole lot of others are doing some seriously cool stuff that has nothing to do with choppers.

Yeah, I don't keep track of the custom (or factory for that matter) market anymore at all. I do see alot of guys cruising around OC on horribly mutilated 60's/70's bikes though, and it pretty much sends me into paroxyms of rage every time I see a perfectly good bike farked up beyond all repair. Especially the @#$%$# 2 strokes, they are getting scarce enough without every asshole with a cut off wheel and a spray gun "improving" them.

Oh, sure. You tell me this now.

Of course, I didn't realize the extent of it before it was already too late. Finding out the truth really farked me up. Now, I feel like I need to administer a lie detector test before I get into another relationship. The "little details" that people forget are always so very convenient. Past is prologue.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'd put on three rubbers and then bang the fark out of her. I just think that she'd look a little better with a little less, that's all.

A GIS for "skanks in angora sweaters" = Whoa! Daaayem!

Perhaps you might rethink that archetype.

Considering the happy couple put me up in a $700/night cabin (and gave my son his own cabin) and basically bought out an entire, very exclusive resort for the wedding (a low estimate of the total wedding cost would put it over 6 figures) and the groom is a heavily tatooed investment banker whose father has been on the cover of Forbes I'm not sure I'd apply the term "White Trash" to anyone involved, despite outward appearances. And They were In-law type relatives not merely friends. (though, don't get me wrong, I'm equally proud of all my wife's family despite their somewhat rustic KS roots and their colorful and on occasion extra-legal ways of making a living)
