Doesn't this guy already have a reputation as a precious snowflake?

"Coach was mean to me, abloobloobloo."

Knight chucked chairs at his players and nobody gave a shiat.

Take out the physical abuse part and it sounds like the RichRod Era at Michigan. Physical abuse was off the table only because RichRod didn't value physicality.

Mike Leach accused of abuse? Really?

Knight choked his players. The chairs were for refs. Wilson has a rep as the best player on a team that coddled it's "stars" under Paul Wolff. It's possible this is all primadonna bullshiat, but it's not like claims of abuse against Leach come out of left field.

Well, trying to put your name down in history with that whiny c*nt Adam James seems like a good idea if you're trying to get a job in the NFL. Also, I realize that being known as a quitter looks bad, but I'm pretty sure they're not going to be too excited about signing a guy who quits AND then blames the coach for being mean to him.

/way to show how much you care about your teammates by submitting this letter to the public just hours before a home game, too
//yeah, I'm sure Leach is dumb enough to actually physically abuse a player after how TTU went down
///I also totally believe that a college student WROTE A LETTER to the local press and FAXED IT to Spokane's press as well. Because that's how 20-year-olds communicate

It's very likely that it is, and it's very likely the claims were specifically chosen in order to make it look like he's not a prima donna.

The investigation is being ordered because there's two ways this goes:

Wilson is telling the truth. In this case, the president now has corroboration from outside sources and can justify getting rid of Leach and his contract. It appeases everyone and puts all the blame on Leach.
Wilson is full of sh*t. In this case, the president now has corroboration from outside sources that justifies Leach's continued employment and avoids any perception of trying to sweep this under the rug.

Either way, calling for the investigation is the right move for him and for WSU.

Wrong university. The Cougs have never been good enough to make that scale of cheating worthwhile.

They were decent during the Ryan Leaf and Drew Bledsoe years. 2001-2003 was particularly impressive.

Wilson says the new staff has "preferred to belittle, intimidate and humiliate us,"

Maybe the staff is just preparing them for the humiliation they'll receive on Saturday.

Yeah, but not good enough to cheat on that level. That's all I'm saying. Getting to a Rose Bowl isn't going to be worth the years of probation. You need to be contending for a N.C. in order to make egregious violations worthwhile.

I knew that was Washington, not Washington State, but I'd expect the prosecutors office to be equal-opportunity colluders...

There was an expression in my household growing up (four generations of Huskies) that always seemed to work when the Cougs played. Thanks to their many years of crappy or mediocre seasons, we said that they 'couged it' when they would inevitably screw up. It soon became a catch all for all football mistakes. Yet again, the Cougs are 'cougin' it.

/CSB I know
//Aware that the Huskies sucked for most of the last decade
///Still the better team, school, etc.
////GO DAWGS!

I, too, believe this is total BS made up by a formerly coddled semi-star player who was treated like "one of the guys" this year, simply so he can try to save face with any NFL team.

NFL teams do NOT like quitters, so you may as well make baseless accusations against the coaching staff (because of the head coach's reputation, which was tarnished in the first place due to... baseless accusations) in order to CYA.

Hey you little biatch, if you can't take it now, don't think that they'll take your shiat in the NFL.
