Chuck Norris jokes went from funny to sadly pathetic when it became obvious he is now a raving douchebag.

"Ha, ha, liberal media!" jokes are there now, too.

Therion: (How was your first week of 1,000 years of darkness?)

Is it any coincidence that the very same week Barack Obama was re-elected the sun is all of a sudden setting almost a full hour earlier than the week before? Can't explain that.

The U.S. has swung quite conservatively. This is easy to demonstrate. Its nuts to suggest that U.S. coverage of domestic politics is ultra liberal.

Not even MSNBC. Theyre just openly partisan for the U.S. democrat party, easily a right wing right wing party on a global metric. You get choices of right wing, and right wing gone wild.

Not discussing things in a way that is in lock-step 100% agreement with the far right wing and giving balanced coverage of issues, is not equal to "Raging Liberal Groupthink".

But, that is what the right wing would like you to believe.

Even in that case, FOX out-propagandas MSNBC on any given day. Using MSNBC as a rebuttal is like a rapist claiming that the guy who held up a Circle K is equally wrong. Both are crimes, sure, but c'mon.

And always remember:

Any news source not explicitly endorsing conservative causes is "liberal."

CNN is liberal? When Twitter and Facebook are the primary journalism sources, I don't think "liberal" is the proper label.

/Twitter is the Tourette's Syndrome of the internet

I will say these types of channels didn't wholly exist until AFTER Fox came along and showed them how to be partisan hacks. And, these channels suck at it.

So, we'll give the Right their lies and propaganda, we'll keep the comedy.

To be fair, those channels have more actual news on them than Fox does which is pretty much down to just Shepard Smith.

So true freepers, the constant barrage of liberal politicians on all those channels wanting us to return to a 90% top tax rate, a capital gains tax increase on the wealthiest Americans and deep cuts to our military budget is really oppressing my right wing beliefs that we should return to a feudalistic society.

2012-11-12 11:41:44 AM
They're not even going to play the "here is a conservative conspiracy theorist for balance" game anymore, fox news has been utterly discredited.

2012-11-12 11:41:55 AM
Bullsh*t!

CNN (corporate news network) is closer to FOX than they have ever been. you need to read current events. their boardroom stinks of the corporate version of the "news".

and ABC is not liberal by any stretch. they are Corporate (they're owned by the huge mega conglomerate Disney) all the way.

CBS? yea, i'll give you that one. they lean left but only a little.

MSNBC? thank god. the only honest news on cable.

NBC? yea, i'll give you that one. only because they have ownership in MSNBC.

right wing corporate propaganda? the leader is by far FOX News.

There's liberal politicians in the US now?

CNN tries to be everyone's best friend, so they try not to take sides. but i see right thru their crap. and watching a little FOX News taught me what to look for.

and besides, CNN loves eye candy too. they're more entertainment than news.

The right wing media machine learned this from their evangelical wing a long time ago. The best way to keep the faithful in the flock is to repeatedly state that your holy book is the only source of truth and that all other sources if information is from the Father of Lies who is an expert at deception. This is bible baptist doctrine 101.

rustypouch: There's liberal politicians in the US now?

a few sprinkled around. this Nation is way too conservative but hopefully things will balance out. Religion is a huge reason for the CONservatism.

AND the fact that Corporations own most of our government and news outlets.

and by definition, corporations are conservative by nature.

CNN used to be the most far right wing news outlet in the USA. then Fox News came along and became the most far right wing outlet. CNN never changed a thing about its reporting, but when GWB was elected, suddenly it was being described (on CNN) as centrist and hosting left wing shows. Aside from the occasional very bad Michael Moore interview, that never actually happened.

One of the important reasons that Fox News and the far right have become so popular and powerful is that US voters say CNN is somehow centrist or conciliatory to the left wing. Stop doing that!

That seems more indicative of Fox covering less political news than MSNBC does. MSNBC is almost exclusively devoted to covering politics 24/7, whereas Fox does seem to cover "normal" news for a significant portion of their broadcast

What?! You mean there are more hard-hitting journalism shows than CNN's "Erin Burnett Is Very Pretty, featuring Erin Burnett?"

2012-11-12 11:50:54 AM
CNN is not liberal, CNN is pro-establishment, and the Establishment is money, so it's not liberal by any means.

There is no televised liberal media, there is on the internet, but that has a very small percentage, compared to giants like Fox News.
