I think I'm something of a rarity on fark - I have no derpy close family.

My aunt is a bigger liberal than I am (and an Israeli citizen), as are her daughters, and my second cousins are children of a news editor and a researcher. The derpiest member of my family was my grandfather, who (in March 2008) mas mistrustful of Obama ("Isn't he a Muslim?"). He came around long before the election, and voted for the fella.

My dad's...3rd cousin? 4th? Lives in Israel and is very religious. Really sweet, and they didn't kick me and my girlfriend out (we paid them a visit, with my dad and her mom) for our sinful behavior.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that I'm better than all of you. I just have to work on my sneer now.

Actually, in my family, the opposite has happened this year. After Sheldon Adelson started funding Mitt Rmoney and the NRA endorsed him, my dad decided he was going to vote Democratic for the first time since Reagan. After the Jeep ad started running in Ohio (where my Republican-voting aunt lives, and where a vote actually matters), my Aunt decided that Rmoney was not to be trusted. She's also not crazy about the Mormons after living here in rural Mormon Arizona. I'm so proud of them both.

CrackpipeCardozo: Ah typical dumb lib, falling for the 0bama propaganda. He wouldn't be able to destroy us like the "theif in the night" he truly is if he were to play his whole hand in the first term. The only reason domestic production is up is to lure the moderate Republican vote away from the GOP to win a second term. Now that he got his second term, KNOW that job and economy killing regulations are will be swiftly executed. And you dumb libs thought I was stupid for saying that 0bama is going to take away MY guns.

I know you're being silly, but; if Obama's track record on going after guns mirrors his track record at destroying domestic energy production, I say fark yeah. That means we'll have a national concealed carry permit by the end of next year!

As a guy who has been voting R in Marlyand for many years let me tell you that you did not throw your vote away by voting D. Even if your candidate didn't win if you keep making your voice heard it can be important.

Think about it this way, even if your state keeps electing derpy idiots like that one, Republican strategists watching the D votes catching up to R votes could make a difference eventually in the quality of the candidates the Republican party is nominating.

In my case the Republican party gets to watch as even more R votes in Maryland dissapear the more insane teh party gets... I stopped voting R this year, and a bunch of other former Republican voters I know did the same.

However, I understand that I have apologized for this so many times now it has become meaningless, like a guy who beats his wife nightly then mumbles 'sorry..." on the way to the fridge for another Coors light.

Thank you. I understand how you feel, too. Hell, my state hoisted Reagan on the country. Twice! Here's an idea: When Texas secedes, take Inhofe's favorite piece of anti-environmental legislation and chuck it in right before they close the gates. Don't worry, he'll be ok. They have bbq in Texas, too. When you get home just tell the kids he must have gotten out and run away.

heinekenftw: "They have this war on fossil fuels," Inhofe said. "He's doing everything to kill domestic production of oil, natural gas and coal. This is something that is just un-American."

Hey dumbass, slowly transitioning our industry away from oil before it runs out in 50 years isn't "killing" anything. It's being smart and proactive before the inevitable disaster hits. You're the un-American, so farking obsessed with profits and oil in the short term that you don't see the catastrophe coming if we don't invest in alternative energies starting NOW.

I'd more go with: If you're telling me that the President of the United States, the most powerful man in the free world, is doing everything in his power to kill domestic production of oil, gas, and coal. For the last four years.

And despite all his efforts:
Oil is at a 10 year high
Natural gas is at an all time high
Coal production has been fairly steady since 1994.

So, Senator Jackoff, even IF you're not lying out your ass about Obama's actions and intentions, I think we can safely say that, if you're right, we have nothing to worry about because Obama is farking INCOMPETENT at killing off domestic energy production.

Maybe if you ignore the fact the the US is close to being the number 1 oil exporting country

And coal exporting has been increasing the last several years as well.

www.washingtonpost.com

So while the US may be using less coal domestically, it certainly isn't stopping coal production any time soon.

Why does everything have to be a goddamned "WAR"? The "other side" is guilty of it too. The "war on women". They never even officially declared Viet Nam a war, now everything is.

Inhofe expects a clear victory for Mitt Romney on Tuesday, both in the Electoral College and in the popular vote.

Don't drop your day job to become a fortune teller. I like how the last two paragraphs are "My team is going to win massively in the election! The polls and evidence that says otherwise is meaningless! I reject your reality and substitute my own! Go my team!"

WND readers read books? I suppose it doesn't matter. The important thing is that they *buy* books.

I would guess that the mint-condition books are added to a library of derpitude, proudly displayed on the same shelf as an equally unread Bible and a commemorative plate depicting Ronald Reagan weeping as the Twin Towers burn.
