This, but offer probation which will restrict his movements and access to ordinary objects for decades, lest he go to PMITA prison.

To all you brave motherfarkers in this thread who think those five people who bolted are pussies:

If you saw someone dressed in a very specific way (a Joker mask) in a specific type of venue (a movie theater) that tied them to a rather recent mass shooting (in a state now known for two of 'em), how would you react? Would your first instinct be to take your time calmly visually inspecting the person to see if they were a credible threat?

Because mine would be to get the hell out of there. Call me a coward, I don't care. While you may be right 9 out of 10 times, I'll be alive 10 out of 10.

Ya know, just for kicks.

[ ] A. shiat my pants and start crying.

I understand that in our pants shiatting society a seems like the proper choice but the correct answer is B. The kid was being an ass but people really need to calm down. A weapon (being brandished) or aggressive actions is something to fear. Anyone who thinks the reactions are normal or rational must adore the TSA.

By groaning loudly then shaking my finger at him. This used to be standard procedure for bad puns and tasteless jokes.

No. Not even that. It's not that I have Balls O' Steel, it's that I'm surrounded by castrates.

Right. This.
If I'm with my kid, knowing how farking stupid Ameerika is and knowing that people would rather copy a crime than commit something new, I would over-react, grab my kid and run.

Haven't read the thread but...hey, what a well thought out prank to pull in a concealed-carry state!

So buddy...you don't think people are more vigilant, especially going into theatres? You don't think people might be a bit trigger happy? Did you know, idiot, that CO is a concealed-carry state?

I lived in CO...I lived in Springs which is not a typical CO town as it is so military (three AFB and of course the AF Academy).

The point is about 75% of males carried. Perfectly legal. I carried - had my CCH permit. An armed society is a polite society.

Good way to get gunned down, buddy. If anybody had shot the dude they'd get off scott free.

Did he even say BOO?

That was in bad taste, which should not carry a criminal penalty unless you want to lock up half the patrons of Walmart. (Or is bad taste required at Walmart?) Nor should anyone have harmed him for what was basically a bad joke: the proper response is to shake your finger and tell him "That is a very bad and tasteless joke. Save it for the frat house."

Unfortunately America has been taken over by brainless and castrated sheep and hot-headed fascistoids claiming to "protect" them. It's disgraceful. Anyone who was scared shiatless by that should lose the privileges of driving, voting and reproducing, and anyone who wants to use it as an excuse to knock the fark out of a silly misfit should be taken out and shot.

Nixon would be a liberal now; the terrorists have won.

Have to disagree with you there, Bob. Wearing a clown costume to Walmart (or a thong when you're a 350 lb black woman) is in bad taste. Shouting "fire!" in a movie theatre is not protected free expression. Given recent events and given the strong possibility of a "copycat" shooting, this person did the equivalent of yelling "Fire!".

So...are you going to be the same guy screaming about the need to tighten gun laws in other threads? Because, you know...a person (recently) DID go into a movie-theatre and kill a bunch of people in clown makeup...recall that? You're probably one of those people who - were you in the Denver theatre - would be the first to get shot - you'd stand up "Hey, fella! What the f*ck are you do-[shot in head falls dead]!"

DaCaptain19 sayeth unto me-th:

Given recent events and given the strong possibility of a "copycat" shooting, this person did the equivalent of yelling "Fire!".

In the parking lot of my previous address I kept seeing this pickup truck with a cast-iron scrotum hanging from the rear bumper. Maybe you can find one of those online, y'know? It'd be better than nothing.

So...are you going to be the same guy screaming about the need to tighten gun laws in other threads?

Not on your life. Guns are great things, everybody that can use one properly ought to own at least one.

Because, you know...a person (recently) DID go into a movie-theatre and kill a bunch of people in clown makeup...recall that?

Indeed, which occasioned a massive pity party that will take years to fade, an event that still has people who were nowhere nearby quaking visibly in fear so they can get some reflected attention. "I'm a victim too! See how afraid I am! Hey, over here!!"

You're probably one of those people who - were you in the Denver theatre - would be the first to get shot - you'd stand up "Hey, fella! What the f*ck are you do-[shot in head falls dead]!"

Actually I'd probably just sit still until it was over, once I realized 1) somebody was really shooting and 2) he soon focused on people who were showing naked fear. Granted my briefs might well get messy but I've lived through worse than that. I'll bet that most of the people who weren't injured did just that: sit quietly and be easy to ignore.

What is it with that joker anyway? He goes out of his way to scare people and then shoots his audience. Even Tony Clifton had more sense tha that: you reward the people who give you attention by shooting people who don't satisfy your narcissism. Jeez, what a wanker.

Moreover, if you were in Boulder I predict you'd be one of the first sh*tting your pants. The lady doth protesteth too loudly.

Wait, Boulder? So you're talking about the junior wanker with the silly mask on? If you want to frighten me you're going to have to do worse than that. Maybe fart in my general direction, at least.

Anyway. I'm confused: are you afraid of getting shot, of fear itself, or of feeling left out of the general hysterics? "Hey, over here! Yoo-hoo! I'm a survivor with PTSD too! I shiat my pants in fear just thinking about it!"

Isn't there a talk show you can join the audience of?
