Aigoo: Cythraul: beyondmycontrol: Cythraul: And she's qualified, how? I guess if Arnold and Ronald can do it, why not her?

Maybe I should have said, "And they're sure she's experienced enough and intelligent enough to do the farking job, how?"

RexTalionis: Ashley Judd is a Phi Beta Kappa scholar (woot). She has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University. She's the global ambassador for the YouthAIDS NGO and is on the leadership board of the International Center for Research on Women.

Maybe you missed that part. Since she's 40-something, that means she got her Masters from Harvard when a college degree still actually meant something and one from Harvard meant a great deal more than one from the University of Kentucky. If you doubt her intelligence as it pertains to her ability to do the job... 17 Presidents, 37 Supreme Court Justices, and 136 Nobel Laureates have been members of Phi Beta Kappa, so I'm reasonably sure the woman is qualified on the basis of intelligence.

In terms of experience, honestly, do we really want experienced politicians in the United States Senate any more? Experienced Senators and Congressmen on both sides have prevented budgets from being passed, obstructed legislation because their party didn't propose it, and so on. We've had experienced members of congress refuse to pass good legislation simply because they do not want the President or the other party to succeed. Maybe replacing those members with intelligent people who may be capable of displaying common sense if given the opportunity to do so isn't the worst possible thing Americans could do. Congress is a two year term, Senate a six year term - it's not like they can break the country's legislative process any more than it already is in that period of time.

Point of clarification: she earned her masters from Harvard in 2010.

Fark, you disappoint. More Ashley, less political banter.

I'm still waiting for McConnell to resign. He said his job was to make sure Obama was a one-term president. Obama got reelected (big time!) to a second term. McConnell has failed in his job and should quit.

Those might get you elected on the West Coast but not in Kentucky. Won't hold up.

Not hairy enough?

Well, this one sure brought out the low-information Farkers.

McConnell might be able to spend her into the ground, but if he ever dared debate Ashley Judd, she'd eat his lunch and dinner too. She's smart as hell and fast on her feet.
