Nothing like listening to a bunch of sacrosanct assclowns celebrate the one thing they have in their life to hang on to outside of failure. It wouldn't be so bad if they gave credit to the good teams that lose 1 or 2...but they're full of themselves they make it sounds like they were the greatest team ever to win a championship. And Ad nauseum the fact that you could name 20 teams from the past 30 years that would roflstomp them into oblivion.

Mercury Morris is the biggest tool the NFL ever spit out.

Come on.....you guys would be doing the same thing if you had been on the only undefeated team.

I said this in another thread. I wonder if the '08 Detroit Lions will be toasting future teams when they are assured of no one else repeating their 0-16 season.

I know I'm going to get butthurt replies to this, but lets get the facts straight: The 2007 Patriots won 18 in a row. The 1972 Dolphins won 16 in a row against a much weaker NFL. (Kinda like how when the Canadiens, Celtics and the Yankees were ringing off championships with a much smaller field of competition.)

Going 16-0 this day and age with a much deeper talent base spread across 32 teams is much more difficult. Sure, the Pats didn't win the SB, but it is not any less of an accomplishment.

/Mercury Morris can snort a bump of blow off the tip of my cack, then have a heart-attack and die

I wish the '85 Bears had gone 16-0 just to shut them up. And I am a Packers fan. '85 Bears would've curb stomped them.

Fark that coke-head Mercury Morris. They won 16 games including 4 playoff games. NE won 18 games and lost the SB on 1 play. I hate how they trot out this former junkie every time a team has a perfect record. It's week nine today? and the Dolphins lost to the TITANS 37 to 3!

I don't know. I'd say someone like Antonio Cromartie compares favorably. He just doesn't have nearly as much success to hang his hat on.

Good, now we can stop paying attention to the Falcons until the Giants walk through them in the playoffs. Do you think we'll get a situation where the Falcons are actually the underdog at home in the playoffs? I could see it.

Did you watch the giants today? I don't see them walking through anyone, they got ran out by an average Bengals team.

Curb stomping the '85 Dolphins (let alone the '72 Dolphins) would have been a good start. But they got curb stomped by Marino instead, so the '72 Dolphins remained the only NFL team to win every scheduled game in the regular and post season.

Is this serious? The Pats already went 16-0. Their record is OVER. It's not unique anymore. If they want to get together and drink, great, but lets not pretend they're toasting anything special or unique. In fact, the Patriots won 18 games in a row, without a loss.

I really can't believe they're still doing this, let alone anyone actually cares.

Also, count me in for the toast when they're all dead. They're just attention whoring now.

Except the Patriots had to cheat to do it. And when they eventually were caught and had to win without cheating, they lost.

So did the 72-73 dolphins, so its not over.

And only one of the dolphins is a douche, mercury Morris. The rest don't care anymore and would like it so they could do interviews to make retirement cash.

Aww, one day your team might have an accomplishment too. don't cry buddy.

And now they suck, deal with it.
When your team has sucked as long and as bad as the Dolphins have, may as well celebrate something 40 years ago.
It's all they have these days. Miami may be cursed like the Lions, never to be a contender until that record is broken.

Oh I'm sorry, I thought this was about the '72 Dolphins. Wait- yes it is.

though this might help......

Who had the best NFL team record?
the 1972 Miami Dolphins went 17 wins and 0 loses the best record.

Who are the teams that went 18-1 in the NFL?
1984 San Francisco 49ers, winners of Super Bowl XIX.
1985 Chicago Bears, winners of Super Bowl XX.
2007 New England Patriots, losers of Super Bowl XLII.

I'd like to provide Falcons fans with a cheat sheet the next time they're quizzed on football.

The next time a Saints fan says "Who dat?" the answer is "not us".
