Yeah, I wonder how much it costs per hour to fly a Chinook around like that. Or how many Chinook pilots will want to be dragging a five story puppet and controls and 200 feet of lines through an urban street surrounded on both sides by three to four story buildings. Very impressive piloting.

Here's the puppet peeping into windows: Link

Here's the guy who claims to have made these

I'd be far more scared of being under/near a Chinook than any giant puppet attacking me... would also overwhelm any curiosity I had.

A viral ad campaign that fails to mention what it is marketing is a bigger bunch of fail than a regular viral ad campaign.

Fools... This is what an Icelandic puppet looks like.

It's pretty standard for giant monster removal.

This, is what certified it as fake.

Suspended from a construction crane, maybe. Three helicopters flying in close proximity with tons of cables (including a chinook) = fake

As somebody with many years of helicopter experience, I'm going with.....

fake as hell.

Helicopters?

Kid stuff.

The girl pointing at the puppet on the street just as it's picked up doesn't appear to ever look up as this puppet allegedly goes overhead. There's also the appropriate amount of shakiness and in and out of focus.

There's one giveaway that is constant throughout all faked viral marketing videos.

1) The camera is pointed at improbable thing
2) The focus shifts to the friend who's very excited
3) The friend points and the camera quickly shifts back to the improbable thing

That happens in every faked viral video, and no one acts that way in the real videos.

Must be a viral ad for that back pain medication that always has marionettes in its commercials (Robaxol or something?). Probably the tagline will be "for GIANT back pain" or something equally stupid.

Icelandic supervillains have always been a bit more eccentric than their North American or European counterparts...
