Well he was a pretty boy, so he had that going for him. His looks and boyhood fame certainly greased the gears of the social machine for him.

He is one of my favourite actors ever since Heart of Darkness - I never knew his family made beer. That would explain Mars Attacks.

Would that be "Edge of Darkness"? 'Cause that's a favourite of mine, too. Pity about Bob Peck. Was there ever a soundtrack released from that? One fine piece of work from Clapton & Kamen

He has a limitless supply of beer, unfortunately it's Heineken. I'd rather drink my own piss.

Or yours.

On the other hand, James Bond is drinking Heinekens instead of martinis (shaken not stirred). Is that a necessary evil?

Yes, that would be Edge of Darkness. I wonder why I typed the Conrad novel? Nothing Freudian there... Anyway, Bob Peck was a great actor, died much too young, soundtrack was incredible (don't know if it's ever been released), Joe Don Baker at his finest. Have you seen the remake? I can't bring myself to watch it, but I might be missing out if it's any good.

The article points out he was already from a rich family and also made piles as a banker prior to meeting her. Both their families had Caribbean vacation homes and that's where they met.

Meh. I for one am jealous. For that much money and beer I'd marry a woodchuck too.

Lets not pretend anyone here would have any standards whatsoever with that much wealth involved. You'd be dressed up a school boy uniform shouting "spank me mommy" for 1/10th that.

Or gin, since there isn't any vodka in a martini.
