George Bush is a true example of a COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE. He will bring honor and decency back to the White House.

We agree that $1.25/gallon is a ludicrously high amount. George Bush is a former Oil Man with many close ties to arab oil interests. He'll be able to talk with the middle east and truly be the Inside Man to ease the stress on struggling motorists.

America is in no way the world's police, and has no business going abroad sacrificing young american lives telling other countries how they should be doing things. George Bush will put America first, and focus on true Homeland Security by dedicating his administration to a mighty MISSILE SHIELD.

We cannot have the proof... a smoking gun... to come in the form of a mushroom cloud. By building a Missile Shield, American families will be prototected from any and all harm from rogue nations. George Bush will combat the true dangers of the 21st century, all the while helping families grow at home.

By encouraging deregulation in the private healthcare and banking industry, free market forces will ensure competition drives prices down, making private healthcare and the American dream of home ownership affordable to all. It is unamerican to inject the Government in other people's business, and it is a core Republican belief that Government should be so small as to be able to drown it in your bathtub. Privacy, above all, is the God-given right of Americans.

Vote Compassionate Conservatism.
Vote fiscal responsibility.
Vote small Government.
Vote GOP.

Vote Bush 2000

I figured George Bush was so bad that no one from his family would ever run for President ever again.

Hell, Bush was so bad, the GOP not only didn't invite him to their convention, but NO ONE from his Administration was there. And he was barely mentioned by the Romney campaign, as if there was a black hole of eight years that the Republicans conveniently forgot and all Romney could admit was "whatever happened back then, it wasn't me."

George Bush was so bad, he made it difficult not just for the GOP to run for President, but for white men to run for President. And with the sad state the party is in right now, its conceivable that the Republicans might not win a Presidential election for the next generation.... to the extent that the Republicans might have to dissolve as an entity altogether.

That is the legacy of George Bush.... who sold the country down the river for some favors and kickbacks, and has nothing to show for it.

I sure hope he does. I don't like having to learn stuff about candidates, like their record or stance on issues. I'd rather just be able to vote for someone based on their name. Kinda like a royal monarchy, but better, because I voted for it.

mscleo: I think the GOP is going to go full derp in 2016. While not Angle, O'Donnell or Murdock, someone of their ilk.

I don't think they are capable of honest introspection and will blame the loss on Romney not being conservative enough.

Wait - the 2012 cycle wasn't full derp? Ieshua H Kristos, how much more derp is there? Biz owners threatening mass layoffs if 'the wrong candidate wins'; churches politicking from the pulpit against the muslin trrist, definitions of rape that make it a gift from the almostmighty. WTF is left?

While a Sophomore at Rice University, he broke into his ex-girlfriend's house at 4 a.m., by breaking her bedroom window and crawling thru it into her bedroom. He was confronted by and argued with her father and then left the house. He returned a short while later driving his car, and proceeded to drive back and forth across their front lawn destroying wide swathes of lawn, and the sprinkler system. He escaped arrest and trial, because the girl and her father declined to prosecute.

Youthful indiscretion......nothing to see here folks. Just another hot-headed bully intimidating a woman who had the good sense to leave him.

Yep. The only way for Republicans to win again is with a Latino. And most would have an extremely difficult time getting through a teabagger primary. But Bush has the big money connections to make it happen.

I don't think even George P. is capable of it. By the Jeb's time as governor the Florida racists were already directing a whole shiat ton of racism towards Columba because of Jeb's immigration stance, and if George P. takes any immigration stance that isn't "wall off Mexico", he's going to get the full brunt of the GOP anti-immigrant sentiment even with the last name "Bush".

Absolutely! He may have the potential some day to be the best president to hold office, who knows? But running in 2016 would make it glaringly obvious outside the bubble he was chosen for his bloodlines and appearance. GPB is a real estate investor with no public office experience to date. Demonstrating an expectation of what his role would be in office and - as did selecting a soccer mom from Alaska - a cynicism in the Right's core that elevates marketing over qualifications.

Jeb will run in 2016, as will Rubio. Christie said something nice about Obama, so he's finished. Prescott will run some time down the line. My concern for 2016 is that there are no obvious Dem frontrunners. Biden is too old and nutty, and I don't think Hillary wants to do it. That leaves who?

Bill Frist: MFAWG: Actually, no. In 2000 immigration was not a front burner issue yet. Don't assume the hispanic vote is now going Democratic for a generation.

Despite the GOP claim that hispanics are "traditional conservatives", they actually agree with the Democratic party more on most issues (social issues, role of government, etc.) not just immigration.

This. The Republicans don't seem introspective enough to realize they lost the Latino vote because their policies are hostile to Latinos. Their thinking is more like, "Hey, we nominated a white man and won the white male vote, if we nominate a Latino we're sure to win the Hispanic vote."

If George P. Bush disagrees with the GOP line on immigration, he won't be nominated. If he doesn't, he'll lose the Hispanic vote. If he flip-flops after his nomination, well...
