I'm in the unenviable position of choosing between Taiwan Jones and Marcel Reese thanks to injury and bye weeks. Any opinions on who will serve me better?

Atlanta DEF (vs New Orleans) or Houston DEF (vs Chicago)?

As a McFadden owner who got scooped in my Shiva level of trash talking league in trying to get Reese I would go Marcel, especially in a PPR league. Jones has never impressed me and the Raiders are going to throw more than ever.

Grote-Man: Atlanta DEF (vs New Orleans) or Houston DEF (vs Chicago)?

Houston. Chicago has a DEF so the game might be closer to low scoring while NO does not so that game will be a shootout.

Am I wrong for benching J. Charles and D. Bowe and starting K. Britt and N. Washington? Gut says the KC players are going to do squat and MIA is giving up a LOT of points to WR over the last month or so, but it feels weird putting those guys on the bench if they are healthy and not on a bye week.

Bigger question - need a RB to replace McFadden in that league (PPR league). Options are S. Jackson @SF, D. Woodhead vs. BUF, J. Rodgers @NO.

Yup, I am scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Rodgers seems your best option, with Woodhead second, don't start RBs against the Niners unless you have no options.

Gonna go Reese as I don't think the Raiders will have a lead where they would lean on Jones. This was my initial gut feeling anyway.

I've started Vic Ballard three weeks in a row. Don't tell me about bottom of the barrel. And I've got Dwyer also starting this week due to both Mendenhall and Brown being out.

Titan WRs are always a tricky bet, doubly so with Locker back to starting now. There is just as much chance Locker throws for 100 yards today or 350, and no way to predict who gets better yardage.

It's simply a gamble.

Freeman has been hot. I do not trust Chargers not named Tomlinson and playing in the mid 2000s.

Can only start two:

Frank Gore(@StL), Michael Turner(@NO), or Chris Johnson(@Mia).

Leaning towards Gore and Turner unless someone can convince me to start CJ.

2012-11-11 12:06:47 PM
So I drafted WRs in rounds 3-5 in a PPR league figuring I'd have a nice injury reserve and bye week replacement and knowing having heavily targeted WRs is big in a PPR league. So of course, two of the receivers are Harvin and Antonio Brown, both of whom get the dreaded high ankle sprain in the same week and are both out.

HaywoodJablonski: Grote-Man: Atlanta DEF (vs New Orleans) or Houston DEF (vs Chicago)?

Well, Bears defensive TDs do basically count against you. But yeah, I don't see why you'd want to take a defense against New Orleans regardless. And there's a good chance the weather tonight turns Bears/Texans into a total slopfest. Houston is a no-brainer.

My only concern this week is a flex spot. Got M.Reece vs. Ravens, R. Mathew vs. Bucs, or M. Crabtree vs. Rams. Leaning with Reece so far, which is sad that R. Mathews puts me in that position.

Ive been debating starting Mikel Leshoure over CJ in my other league too. Just not sure how much I trust him yet. All his TDs last week were on short yardage situations.

I picked up Marcel Reese (vs Ravens) and benched Steven Jackson (vs 49ers) for him.

They shouldn't count unless your league is weird. A Bears pick or fumble-6 should have no effect on the score Houston D puts up, as they are on the bench at the time it happens. Special teams is a different story though.

Ive got Doug Martin, CJ, and Mikel Leshoure in that league. I dont know why my buddy didnt open a flex spot this year so Im always stuck with trying to pick 3 WR and decide between my RBs.

I like LeShoure. CJ had the long TD in garbage time last week but I still don't trust him.

Id take Leshoure over Britt right now. With Locker retaking over the Tenn offense after time off I just dont trust the passing game. And Britt has been hit or miss for me all year. If Leshoure can continue to get short yardage situations in the RZ then he could pay off big.

Very much what I was thinking. Thanks guys.

That's why you set your lineup earlier than 5 minutes before kickoffs. The mobile app works, fwiw.

Setting my lineup a day before, or even hours before doesn't help with game-time decisions.

2012-11-11 12:59:07 PM
True. I always set my lineup assuming the worst case, so in the even I'm unable to fix it in time, I don't sit someone who is out. Still, try the mobile app.

Grrrrr.... been starting Stafford all season (aside from bye week), I have Dalton as my back-up... Stafford right now: -0.96 Dalton 19.76.

Grrrrrr.

At least the Lions D has been solid...

Almost without exception, every time I've listened to well-reasoned recommendations on fark, it has cost points.

this time I didn't. Actually benched Luck for Rivers, despite every single projection everywhere.
Other than masturbatory "look at my team", you know your players better than most.
