HotIgneous Intruder: Private geriatric nurses cost a fortune.
Roto-Rot: They're legendary and will be dead soon, so as a nostalgia act they can charge whatever the hell they want to and people will pay. Imagine the prices if what's left of Pink Floyd got together and toured. The aging hippies have disposable income.I would probably pay $813 to see Bad Brains.
Cluckity: Who gives a fark what a bunch of old farks will pay for a dose of nostalgia? The band charges what they feel the market will bear. It's not like they're selling food or fuel./imokwiththis.jpg
theorellior: Fleecing Baby Boomers with more money and nostalgia than sense? Sure, why not?
Anthracite: Pink Floyd yes... Stones ...no

Coco LaFemme: No.......no, it's not. I wouldn't pay $813 to see any artist live, much less The Rolling Stones. I wouldn't pay $813 to see The Rolling Stones circa 1966. The problem is, they know people will pay it, so they have no qualms about pricing tickets that high. They're fleecing people, and people don't mind being fleeced.I don't know which part of that worse.
farkeruk: I've pretty much given up on stadium gigs. If I want to see a band and I realise they're playing an arena, I'll just accept that it passed me by. I realised at the last one that what I was doing was watching a screen, and that the band didn't care about being there. I'll go and see bands in places with 5000 capacities now, where they're still keen, the prices are sensible, you can see the stage and you can walk out 10 minutes from the end and go to the pub.
dugitman: Just looked through my stubs. I paid $28.50 to see them in 1989 and remember feeling... ripped off. Whatever, I can say I saw The Stones I guess.
Triumph: Why should the scalpers make all the money? Price isn't about what things cost to make, it's all about what the market will bear. You go to college and the boomer college president charges you huge tuition and wrings his hands and complains about his "costs." Then you take an econ class, learn the awful truth about how prices are arrived at, cry, graduate with 100k in debt, and watch your boomer University President who paid peanuts to go to college himself, shell out $2000 to go see the Stones. Maybe he takes the econ prof along. Thanks a lot sucker! Enjoy your college radio bands!
Smackledorfer: And you go on to earn so much more in life that the 100k debt + interest was well worth it.
Hanky: Saw them in 2007 and they were really damn god. That said, they should be ashamed
