well, i got interrupted during watching that, and unlike other sites where clicking on the video will pause it, it just opens a new tab and starts playing the same video again. that was noisy and inconvenient. vid was cool tho

The cool music calmed him down, so no stain.

Gangam style covers are as awesome as Rebecca Black covers now.

I'm watching Top Gear's 50 Years of Bond Cars right now. Speed that video up a bit and it would be better than some of the earlier Bond car chases.

That's what I was thinking. I hate that f*cking song and now there's an easy listening version of it? Is it the national anthem of Korea now?

Given the way he handled that, I'm guessing there's no stain at all, unless those huge brass balls discolored his seat in some way.

Wonder if he knew whether someone was behind him prior to backing up.

I give it 50/50.

Cab-over truck with no weight in the back, a load hanging off an extended boom on the front, and pointing down a 30% grade? Yeah, i'm sure the rear axle parking brake will hold that...

If that's real it's pretty much winning, but I'd like to know how he just happened to have a video of this. A passenger doing the recording, sure, or a dashboard cam. The question I can't answer is why? Who drives around randomly taking video? Skeptical...

/family did that back in the 80s when machine-gun-sized camcorders were NEW and AWESOME... Now, not so much

Dashcams are extremely common in many parts of the world, Asia and Russia particularly, due to the prevalence of insurance fraud. See Exhibit A and Exhibit B.

...

I guess I need a better imagination, then. I hadn't thought of that.

My drives are just so mundane. I can safely say no one has ever tried to launch themselves at my car to garner insurance money.

I can't decide which exhibit is more amusing, though. The guy making commentary on the Toronto streets sounds just about like I do when I see drivers do dumb things... But that "slam" into the car in Exhibit B is comedy gold.

wow, that sure is a steep road. I hope they don't get freezing and ice in the winter because that road would be MADNESS.

Feh. That road's nothing. Just a short distance from my house is a 19% grade into a 4-way intersection. I live in the Pacific Northwest. That road is automatically closed during ice storms or other slippery driving situations, because it's simply impossible to navigate otherwise. We get accidents in wet weather (even though the road's grooved), with vehicles sliding backwards down the hill into the intersection.

Yep - the kids call it "Suicide Hill," and it's basically a sledding hill once the ice hits. It's even more fun because, prior to the straight 21% grade into the intersection, it has a slightly less steep S-curve. Hilarious to see folks try to gun it up the hill, only to spin out.

The truck had its outriggers down. They happily skidded along with it.

Note the driver trying to get back into the cab who gets squished between the truck and the left road embankment.
