(Guardian)   With no lunchtime games it's a later start for the weekend Fark EPL thread. Can Man City bounce back from European disappointment, will Man Utd come back again from a goal down to win and can Chelsea have an entire weekend without controversy?   (guardian.co.uk) divider line 138

689908: Right. But if you're not confident enough in Arsenal (for example), don't put your banker on it. Try Everton or United or City. And if you put your banker on the one you're most confident about, surely there are other games (Reading-Norwich, Saints-Swans, Wigan-WBA) which are harder to predict and therefore deserve the insurance. It just seems strange that, from 10 choices, someone can be most confident and least confident of the same thing.

Banker doesn't necessarily have to be the most confident pick, although it should be in practice. I'm sure as the season goes on, people are going to take more chances with it just to try to make up the points.

I'm on 0 for the day, with my banker on 3-1 to MUFC.

ADubs86: Banker doesn't necessarily have to be the most confident pick

This sounds like the bit I'm having trouble with.

Scholes just Suarezed the crap out of that.

Villa finishes the half with style

Snoozefest. Slow, lazy and boring.

Valencia is a one-trick pony but he seems to have forgotten his trick.

Can Villa keep up that intensity?

2012-11-10 01:38:12 PM
Wow. Villa came to play

2012-11-10 01:38:26 PM
Wow, Weimann's second. Great buildup off of Scholes' misplaced pass.

Good for Chelsea, City, and people who hate United, bad for predictions.

Got to be an OG on Vlaar there. What a comeback.

2012-11-10 02:05:57 PM
Pretty entertaining matches today, Wished Fulham could have held on.

2012-11-10 02:15:42 PM
Hernandez once again.
Saves quite a few predictions there. Pretty sure he won't have a hat trick because the second was an OG, but he's earned a MOTM bid for sure.

2012-11-10 02:26:56 PM
If Man U had a better defense their goal difference would be much better than City and Chelsea. As we saw last season that could be important

It's awful and brilliant at the same time.

I love Chicharito.

+10 for the day, second crap week in a row. Saved by the perfect on the West Brom match. Still, will gladly give up 10 pts on an Arsenal victory for a Fulham draw and more road points!

Er, +20. Big week for the NUFC guys in the top ten.

Yeah, the Newcastle boys are crushing it at the top of our table. I had a decent week this week, which revives me a bit from my crap picks last week (which included messing up the score on the Arsenal / Man U game, which gave me a twenty-point swing from +10 to -10).

LucklessWonder: Feel that this is the weekend Liverpool puts it all together. 3-1 Reds.

That would be a fantastic upset and I wouldn't mind losing points in the FFPL if they did, but I just couldn't bet that way this week. I'd love to see it, though.

Back in the saddle again. Liverpool have won the last two fixtures at the Bridge since Fernando moved there, but I don't see them making it three, especially since Mata's back. 2-1 Chelsea.

Adebayor's name on his jersey looks odd. I think the A is taking a nap

So 2 for the plastics plus an own goal then?

That's the way I feel with the Man City/Spurs game. Would love to see Spurs win, but I dont see it happening. 2-1 City.
2-0 Chelsea
2-0 Newcastle

HaywoodJablonski: Morning, folks

Howdy. Rough day yesterday for the Gunners. Right now I'm watching City/Spurs and wishing that there was a way that both teams could simultaneously lose.

2012-11-11 08:53:21 AM
Tottenham strikes first, which is to be expected, since City always seems to suck in the first half and then come back in the second half. I'm surprised to see Hart fail to hold on to that, though. I haven't seen him make many mistakes before.

Toon team somewhat weakened by injuries and suspensions. Could still be a home win mind.

Tottenham's defense not looking very good. City does that to a lot of teams, though.

In rugby, it is Scotland Vs the All Blacks. Hope Scotland has a safe word.

Hart makes lots of mistakes, usually described as ''unusual'' or something similar.

AGUERO!

There we go.
However much City are paying him and Dzeko, it isn't enough.

2012-11-11 09:55:59 AM
There's the equalizer. Friedel looks like he got his fingertips on it, too.

Jones, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Wisdom, Carragher, Sahin, Gerrard, Allen, Sterling, Suarez.
Subs: Gulacsi, Cole, Assaidi, Henderson, Coates, Downing, Suso.

Some sort of 5-3-2 I guess.
Carra starting. Well this is a loss.

2012-11-11 10:17:00 AM
And Dzeko with the probable winner! Well played.

2012-11-11 10:17:07 AM
DZEKO!

Bears repeating again, whatever City are paying Dzeko and Aguero, it isn't nearly enough.

After beating the greatest team in the the entire world earlier this week and drawing some incredible press, Celtic now face the greatest team in the entire Perth. Not quite the same level of excitement but with the newly Rangers-free SPL proving itself to be far more competitive than most would have anticipated league games have kept their shine.

This seems to explain why I can't get any higher than 10th place in the standing against you boys. Damn

ADubs86: Yes, United should win cleanly, and it's Chelsea so probably not.

Happy Remembrance Day everyone.

Remembrance Day is not a day to be "happy" - it's not a farking holiday.

I apologize if you find me offensive. It's incredibly difficult to use an appropriate salutation for a somber holiday.
