Yes, United should win cleanly, and it's Chelsea so probably not.

Happy Remembrance Day everyone.

On vacation so I won't be able to watch much. But come on United! I want Arsenal to lose, but I have my insurance and banker on this match.

Watchin the England Rugby game before i hunt for a Reading vs Norwich stream.

Fun fact more police are out in Norwich for the english defense league (and counter) march today than for a normal football match.

FFPL Report - Round 10

Ouch!

Week 10 saw carnage as surprising results came in through the card. Plenty of shell-shocked Farkers this week in which no fewer than 12 players scored negatively and a good number posted returns of between 0-20 pts. In short, this was a good week to forget to post your predictions.

Moving into top spot is Cognitive_Displaysia, tied with, but placed ahead of me on alphabetical ordering [or is it weeks score?] after a 55 pt boost. Elguepardo and Mr_H stay in 3rd and 4th and nobiology breaks into the top 10, making it 30% Toon. At the bottom, MitchCumstein1 doubled his score in one week! Cough. Worldwide, 200 people are doing worse than you Mitch.

Median player is Desertgeek. He is in 29346/72531 globally, meaning the FFPL median is substantially better than the global median.

Top scorer this week was kcostell, with 120 - a score that has been very much par in other weeks. Only Obamartins posted in three figures as well. At the other end of the spectrum, DesertMoloch and BillyChrystalMethLab both went down 90, learning how much having your banker chip bite you can hurt.

Highest climber of the week was kcostell, up 11 over lost_limey and nobiology on 6 places. A pair of Arsenal supporters - Langston and DJBigbird dropped 8 and 9 places respectively and Chattanooga_FC also went down 9.

Norfolkingchance clings onto Page 1 by his bloody fingernails, and is joined by desertgeek and tom_servo_bit_me. I repeat - tom_servo_bit_me is now on Page 1!

Dropping into the oubliette of Page 2 we have Chattanooga_FC and jpo2269.

The 20 pt Banker Bonus club is down to 2 - StRalphtheLiar and bjmichel. Only Obamartins has a BB in double figures otherwise and 38 players have none at all - a great number undone by Spurs losing to Tottenham.

Yeah, Arsenal already 2 up on Fulham. Pretty sure I had this one 2-2, so I'd really like yet another capitulation from the Gunners here.

I almost switched away from Arsenal at 2-0, but, you know ... it's Arsenal. I don't even think it's a good game. Neither keeper has made a save of note.

I don't understand this theory of putting insurance and banker on the same game. I already need about six insurance chips every week without wasting it on the result I'm most sure of.

Still a correct draw for me there at the Emirates.

Also just caught the end of the arsenal Fulham game. Glad arteta missed the pk. Sounded like Fulham deserved a point.

Right. But if you're not confident enough in Arsenal (for example), don't put your banker on it. Try Everton or United or City. And if you put your banker on the one you're most confident about, surely there are other games (Reading-Norwich, Saints-Swans, Wigan-WBA) which are harder to predict and therefore deserve the insurance. It just seems strange that, from 10 choices, someone can be most confident and least confident of the same thing.

2012-11-10 12:16:42 PM
Well, missing a lot of games this week and next as I'm moving (yay). But so far, this day is looking like a bust for me. Arsenal screwed me (banker chip). Hopefully I get a few points tommorow.

Banker doesn't necessarily have to be the most confident pick, although it should be in practice. I'm sure as the season goes on, people are going to take more chances with it just to try to make up the points.

2012-11-10 12:22:23 PM
I'm on 0 for the day, with my banker on 3-1 to MUFC.

Scholes just Suarezed the crap out of that.

Snoozefest. Slow, lazy and boring.

Valencia is a one-trick pony but he seems to have forgotten his trick.

Can Villa keep up that intensity?

Wow. Villa came to play

2012-11-10 01:38:26 PM
Wow, Weimann's second. Great buildup off of Scholes' misplaced pass.

Good for Chelsea, City, and people who hate United, bad for predictions.

Got to be an OG on Vlaar there. What a comeback.

Pretty entertaining matches today, Wished Fulham could have held on.

2012-11-10 02:15:42 PM
Hernandez once again.
Saves quite a few predictions there. Pretty sure he won't have a hat trick because the second was an OG, but he's earned a MOTM bid for sure.

If Man U had a better defense their goal difference would be much better than City and Chelsea. As we saw last season that could be important

Yeah, the Newcastle boys are crushing it at the top of our table. I had a decent week this week, which revives me a bit from my crap picks last week (which included messing up the score on the Arsenal / Man U game, which gave me a twenty-point swing from +10 to -10).

Howdy. Rough day yesterday for the Gunners. Right now I'm watching City/Spurs and wishing that there was a way that both teams could simultaneously lose.

Tottenham strikes first, which is to be expected, since City always seems to suck in the first half and then come back in the second half. I'm surprised to see Hart fail to hold on to that, though. I haven't seen him make many mistakes before.

I missed EBJT's leg snappage. I had to pee before kick-off, but the game started, so I thought, 'fark it, I'll wait till half-time,' but I thought I was going to wet myself so I had to go and missed it. Boo!

My timeline is in great form today.

''Surprised at that goal, Liverpool are normally great at defending racists.''

''MAN DOWN!''

''Luis Suarez: finally fighting against racism.''

''John Terry on his arse and in tears. Now where have I seen that before?''

''Two massive racists standing on the pitch. Two massive racists standing on the pitch. And if one massive racist should accidentally fall..''

Terry is an incredible player, IF he is on your club.

SUAREZ Does it again. We'd be so screwed without him.

2pts and bottom of the league without his goals and assists according to BBC radio.

Damn fine save from Cech there. Almost made Enrique a hero.

Sucks to lose the FFPL points, but Liverpool really didn't need to lose this game.

Chelsea should have scored more, but liverpool played well considering they just just had a match thursday.

Yep, but at least the native English speaking racist coont might be out for a while after his injury.

Considering the team on Thursday consisted entirely of backups and youth players, it doesn't matter.

+20 yesterday, +10 today. Seems I peaked last week. Wish someone had told me so I could have enjoyed it. Need another 5 or 6 insurance chips next week.

Fark international friendlies.

If only he had actually been banned for as long as he should have been, he would have endured less physical pain. The poor chap.

From Football365

Let's talk about the Spurs goal and let's talk about Alan Parry, Gary Neville, Glenn Hoddle and Jamie Redknapp colluding to hand almost no blame to Joe Hart. Where's Roy Keane when you need him? The desperation to classify at least one England player as being the best in the world has led to Hart being elevated to God-like status. Apparently he can do no wrong. We've all seen Hart make a series of errors this season that have contributed to at least as many goals conceded as the zonal marking system - to be viewed with suspicion by any right-thinking Englishman - and yet he remains untouchable.

At half-time, Sky slowed down footage of Steven Caulker's goal and decided that both Yaya Toure and Aleksandar Kolarov were culpable for allowing him the header. That the header was weak and hit Hart in the chest was apparently neither here nor there. "They are difficult, those ones," said Neville. Oh come on, who the hell are we trying to kid? We look forward to seeing Fraser Forster on Wednesday.

Good news for those of you bored by my updates from Norway. So everyone, really. It's all over. Molde are champions again. Having never won the title before, Ole has led them to back-to-back championships. I won't even have to comment on the final day of the season next week ;-)

Langston: Gordon Bennett: After beating the greatest team in the the entire world earlier this week and drawing some incredible press, Celtic now face the greatest team in the entire Perth. Not quite the same level of excitement but with the newly Rangers-free SPL proving itself to be far more competitive than most would have anticipated league games have kept their shine.

GO CELTIC!!

Very Much THIS. beautifully done by the outgunned side.

I did not know that.......I trying to feel better over the draw, i guess Coldplay's "up with the birds" can somehow explain Chelsea's season.
