Hoping Oregon State beats Stanford, then Oregon beats Stanford next week (after annihilating Cal this week), and then Oregon destroys Oregon State at the end of the month.

Book it, done. Oregon vs Whoever for the National Championship.

(Of course, it would help if Notre Dame, Kansas State and Alabama all lose at some point. Or two out of those three. Or whatever.)

I think the Aggies have already decided the SEC was a good idea.

Hopefully the A&M +13.5 holds up. I think Alabama is going to be flat coming off of an emotional win to a more traditional rival. We'll see.

As a lifetime Longhorn fan I have never cheered for A&M before. Something about it just feels dirty, but dang if I don't want to see Alabama lose today in a bad way.

As long as Notre Dame doesn't sniff the national championship game, I'll be happy. I'd love to see any two of Alabama-KSU-Oregon play each other, assuming Klein is healthy.

There was an interesting article the other day about how Texas A&M is sort of an "Oregon lite" in terms of the way their offense is constructed and how Bama fares against them could be an indicator of how they would do against Oregon in the NC game. If Bama can't deal with A&M's offense then they have no business in the NC game. However, after the relatively poor showing against LSU last week I think the Bama defense will be highly motivated to shut down any runs, passes, options, or even attempts to drink Gatorade by A&M's offense.

Even if they were 0-fer, I'm pretty damn sure they made the right decision in leaving the Big 12.

Did you know that horns down is disrespectful and needs to be talked about as a league to ban it?

A 4.4 QB, three 4.4 RBs, a 6-5 WR and another two 4.4 WRs, two top-10 NFL OLmen, a 1st rd NFL D-Lineman (and two 2nd rounders on D), and a host of position players that play well in their role.

What does your crappy team have? ;P

/I know...we are still an inferior team to Alabama.

Yeah I can agree but bama is too strong against the running game.

The biggest question is if mark Richt will run it up on auburn, and speaking of losers where have all the auburn fans gone that were calling me crazy when I said they would be lucky to get 5 wins.

mikaloyd: Why is ATM ranked in the top 25?

Going into this week, there were:

Six undefeated teams
Eleven one-loss teams; four of those are in the MAC and only one is ranked, so eight one-loss teams actually ranked

That leaves eleven slots on the Top 25.

There are sixteen two-loss teams. Boise State, Cincinnati, and Utah State are inarguably not Top 25 material - they just haven't beaten anyone worth discussing, and they've got losses to SD State at home, Toledo, and BYU (respectively). That leaves thirteen teams with two losses left.

The only three-loss team ranked in either poll are USC and Texas Tech, and those are arguable.

So now we're down to nine spots for thirteen two-loss and possibly six three-loss teams.

Two losses: LSU, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oklahoma, San Jose St, South Carolina, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, Tulsa, UCF, UCLA

Three losses: Michigan, Oklahoma State, Penn State, San Diego State, TCU, Wisconsin. (I'm not even bothering with UNC, La-Monroe, and Fresno State)

LSU and South Carolina are definitely ahead of A&M, so that leaves 11 and 6 for seven spots. Are there six teams better than the Aggies?

Texas A&M: Has won on the road at Ole Miss, La Tech, Auburn, and Miss St (not a whole lot there, granted). Losses at home versus Florida and at LSU (that looks second only to Oklahoma).

These five two-loss teams you can reasonably argue might be better than A&M:

Oklahoma: beat Texas in Dallas, and Texas Tech and Iowa State on the road. Lost to Kansas State and Notre Dame at home.

Stanford: home wins against Duke, USC, and Arizona. Two road losses at Washington and Notre Dame

UCLA: home wins against Nebraska and Arizona, and a road win at Arizona State. Losses to Oregon State and at Cal.

Texas: won at Ole Miss, at Oklahoma State, at home vs Baylor, and at Texas Tech. Lost at home to West Virgnia and got run out of the Cotton Bowl by Oklahoma.

Nebraska: home wins vs Wisconsin and Michigan, won at Northwestern and Michigan State. Lost at UCLA and at Ohio State.

The rest of these teams are questionable:

Mississippi State: Lost to Texas A&M, and to Alabama. Their best win this year is either home against Auburn or Tennessee.

Northwestern: best win at Iowa, lost at Penn State and at home to Nebraska

San Jose St: best win at San Diego State, lost at Stanford and home vs Utah St

Tulsa: best win vs Fresno, lost at Iowa St and Arkansas

UCF: best win is against ECU, lost at Ohio St and to Missouri

Michigan: best win is either against Air Force or Mich St, lost to Nebraska, Alabama, and Notre Dame
Oklahoma State: wins at home vs Iowa St and TCU, lost to Arizona, Texas, and Kansas St
Penn State: lost to Virginia
San Diego State: lost to SJ State and Fresno
TCU: best win is against West Virginia
Wisconsin: best win is against Utah St.

Also, I had no idea that if they win today, they're in the B10 championship game. I just haven't been able to see much NCAA football this season with a super busy work schedule.
