If I won a big lottery(even more unlikely than usual since I don't buy tickets) I would try to get Ronald McDonald House to front the win. In exhange for me being anonymous, they can have a third-fifth(depending on how much I won) of it.

"Let's just hope that those that (sic) won not only spend their money wisely but the charities don't hound them every five minutes like they do," True Blue Aussie of Brisbane said.

Peter of Wishart advised the winner to stay anonymous so charities couldn't find them, and a reader at Gin Gin gave some advice about charities to the winner: "Tell them to get stuffed," he wrote.

What's wrong with that advice? A lot of those blood sucking charities are nothing more than a giant scam meant to make the people at the top rich. There are plenty of "charities" I would tell to "get stuffed".

FTFY. Most people that I interact with on a daily basis can manage to scrape up some civility when dealing with people face-to-face. The relative anonymity of the internet really allows people to let their inner douchebag run wild.

I'm all about that. Fark is where you let the snark run wild. I would never do that around a regular crowd of people. Just some of my very close friends. Maybe.

Do charities actually hound lottery winners or is it just an urban myth? I've always wondered.

bagumpity: Do charities actually hound lottery winners or is it just an urban myth? I've always wondered.

From some of the stories of winners I've seen, legitimate charities do ask for money. More than they ask anybody, regardless of winning the lottery? Probably not. However, lottery winners usually have to deal with all sorts of opportunists coming out of the woodwork. These include long-lost family members, individuals that don't know you but have a sob story to sell you, or "charities" that are really just scams.

If it weren't for those "Libs", you would be in a cage somewhere in the dusty back alley of a carnival, getting poked with sticks. I mean, people have heard grunts before, but they'd still poke you if only to watch the sticks go limp from the sheer power of the impotent rage that you radiate.

I apologise for the bad grammar and sentence construction. The same way that a CT scan of our friend hbk(numbers) would just come up on the monitor as a shrug.

That sounds more like democrat line of thinking, republicans would be telling her they know where she can invest that newly found venture capital.

Republicans love money, I can at least respect that, democrats talk a lot about helping people but regularly vote against help in place of incarceration. People keep making excuses for them but never call them on it, that's the fox news/drudge world we live in, it makes CNN and MSNBC appear rational.

I formatted the post to make it obvious where I was going. Perhaps I was too subtle... as I, a person (stranger to all of you), said something on the internet.

Does that help? Did I need [thatsthejoke.jpg] or anything?

Yes you do.

You don't get it. Republicans are the people who think that they earned every cent they make. So if someone gets money via lottery, they get all jealous.

Liberals don't give a shiat about your winning the lottery as the total paid in is greater than what was paid out. So that money gets back out to the poor people we actually care about.

No liberal is jealous. Jealousy would mean we want the money for ourselves. We don't. We want it for EVERYONE.
