Considering some of the toilets I've seen in Korea, I'm not surprised.

Just imagine how crazy the theme parks in North Korea would be if they had a functional economy.

My mom (Korean) installed these on all the toilets in the house. I hate them.

Do you have outhouses above roller coaster track?

I've always wanted to ride a roller coaster where pee and poo falls on you.

Was in Japan for a week, including a short 2 day homestay. Have to say, absolute best invention in the world on a cool night:

Heated toilet seat.

And some women wonder why men take so long in the bathroom...

The unusual amusement park was built in memory of the city's former mayor, Sim Jae-Duck, affectionately known as Mr Toilet.

So, he was Mr Toilet Duck?

After careful consideration, I'm going to have to say that poop is a meat by-product, Stinkyy.

So I spent a year in South Korea back in 88 and 89. Didn't see many toilets in the country. Was there a seachange in thought at some point over there? Except for places where foreigners frequented, it was mostly a hole in the floor that could best be described as a miniature urinal on its back that you hovered over.

Yes. I remember those days. Toilets and sanitary conditions have improved a 1000 times over what they were. And they've gone toward the western style toilets in many places.

Squat toilets still exist in Korea but they're becoming increasingly rare. Most modern homes and recently-built public places (banks, offices, and such) in larger cities use Western-style toilets now. But you can find both types in most cities.

Mostly public toilets have seats, not just the expat hangout places like Itaewon.

Interesting. Might make visiting more plausible. I can shiat or piss anywhere but Eileen Dover has other requirements than I.
