(Some Guy)   Remember that coal mine owner who forced his employees to take unpaid time off to attend a Romney rally? The day after the election, he fired 160 of them. But it's okay, he read them a prayer first   (thenewcivilrightsmovement.com) divider line 536

This is Obama's fault. He killed the coal industry!

By refusing to make natural gas more expensive.

/Why buy coal when NG is cheaper per BTU?
//And buy "killed" I mean only about a 5% decline.

Well, it was fracking technology. But this should tell you something about "job creators". These are people who are obsessed with money and who will say whatever they think will get them what they want.

Even if it weren't total BS that people like this were good for the economy I wouldn't want them in positions of power.

Fake. Why the hell would any employer openly admit to violating employment law?

So what a lot of morans want to run their businesses into the ground? That will open the door for other enterprising and less ignorant owners.

You have to wonder how they would react if they'd gotten their way about gaming the system in the favor of "job creators" and natural gas still was eating into their market share.

Quiet. You are a casual conservative. You claim to be a conservative, but in reality, you are one of the biggest liberals on this forum, and I will be discussing this in my upcoming book, Top 11 All-Time Liberal Posters on This Web Site. Have you even read a single book by Sakayama Bigovernmentuzuki? Have you ever heard of Daisuke no Obama Densetsu: Third Strike THE TAX REMIX? Of course not. And because of that, I have banned your account for the next forty-five seconds. You will probably not even notice I have banned you, but I do this in order to make it very clear that I am the administrator of these forums and I will not tolerate liberals. Start with Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, Beck, and Coulter, and then get back to me. In the meantime, it is clear that you disgust me.

Firing people because Obama won is different entirely for firing people because the voted for Obama, which the article doesn't make the claim of having happened.

Different but not better. It's effectively screwing up and disrupting over a hundred families' lives to make a petty political statement that despite the bitter rhetoric does not reflect market forces.

Thank you. I just get so upset when conservatives claim to be liberals. In my experience with posting on internet message boards, I have determined that there are maybe half-a-dozen true conservatives on this planet, along with ObamaSucks71 and ObamaSucks92 on the Obama Sucks forums. I just wish the "conservative" moniker would not get tossed around so often.

Yes, of course it's a shiatty thing to do if it's solely for show. On the other hand, if he genuinely feels that it's a good business decision, then tough titties.

I don't think it's just this guy. I have clients in the medical device field that are laying people off because of the new, rather large taxes, that are going to be hitting them. I don't have a single client in that field that isn't either fretting or complaining about what they consider unfair to them.

We are definitely going to be seeing changes (adjustments?) in corporate America to accommodate universal healthcare.

Possible. But then again, I would not be betting my money on the rationality/thinking ability of a teabagger.

When W Bush was ruining the country for eight years and spending money as fast as any Democrat President could haveand turning budget surpluses into massive deficits, all of these people seemed to be okay with that. And the most I remember anyone against Bush doing was having protests. People against Obama seemed thoroughly unhinged. I can't understand it at all. It seems even worse than any of the dislike Clinton had during his years.

The USA would save a lot of money and there'd be more widespread coverage and a healthier population, ultimately saving companies loads of money.

Dammit. I can't find it now. I saw something earlier today where he decided not to fire anyone, but rather decided to give everyone a 5% pay raise to "help them deal with the burden of a second Obama term." It might have been satire, but it's hard to tell anymore, as this shiat is so ridiculous.

Either way, any board of directors that doesn't fire a CEO for making such rash decisions that are obviously based on something other than reasonable business principles deserves to have their investment fall apart. If I was one on that board all my voting shares would be to fire this crackpot economic terrorist motherfarker.

/If I were unfortunate enough to find out I was working for someone like that, I wouldn't even wait to update my resume before I walked out the door.
//That being said, if your current employer pulls stunts like the Romney deal, even if you vote straight-ticket Republican, you should probably update your resume.

You know, I'm an atheist, but this seems kind of blasphemous to me.
You invoke the name and wisdom of your kind and loving as a precursor for firing people right before the holidays as part of a political stunt?

And you expect your god to be cool with this?

2012-11-09 09:33:27 PM
I love how he complains about how people will suffer a lower standard of living because Obama was reelected, then fires 160 people to make it a reality.

Is there a reason this guy hasn't taken a pickaxe to the face?

I hope the only reason is that miners don't use pickaxes anymore. I'd settle for hitting him with a pressure drill.

Did he have armed guards? I just can't imagine him being able to fire that many miners with that level of bullshiat snark and not at least go home on crutches.
