The modern age. * people in a van means 8 people with a phone and recording capabilities. Someone's fired or someone's off the team.

From the article: The Hawks would head to their next tournament in Florida...and finish 12th.

Apparently no one listened to that guy. I wanna hear the tape from that ride back.

No, no, they did. He gave them two options: either go there and "perform" or "you can go down to Destin and lay a farking egg..." The team chose the latter.

Well, they were recruited to play for their school. There should be some expectation of competence. It's D3, so it's not that big of a deal, but if you're getting free tuition to hit a farkin' ball into a farkin' hole, hit the farkin' ball into the farkin' hole and there's no issue.

... except D-III ball has no scholarships. Those kids are playing this for the love of the game purely, so for a coach to act like that is pretty farking foolish

I was offered a full-ride to a community college to play golf after high school. It happens.

We had a golf coach like that. One day after all 4 of us went double bogey on three holes in a row, he made us take a stroll in a field on a beautiful summer day hitting little balls into little holes. We continued this for over 3 hours and you know what happened if the ball went off into the woods? He'd make us go walk in the shade for a moment to retrieve the ball.

I'll never forget that day. I felt like we had bonded through our punishment, so I was quite disappointed when the following day we had to return to our own golf carts.

Your CC was not in D3. Those guys probably were the four guys with a set of clubs on campus.
