Wheezing symptoms were worse between days 10 to 22 of cycles, with a slight dip near the point of ovulation for most.

This is weird, because one random think I've noticed is that I sing way better around the point of ovulation. During my ... unclean time, I sing like crap.

Not a huge shocker that Biatchmas (and that time of the month will always be Biatchmas to me, thank you Fark) affects asthma--those hormonal shifts fark EVERYTHING up, and at least some asthmatics do have changes in severity with hormonal changes (it's not uncommon for asthma to either disappear or become more severe upon puberty, among other things).

HKWolf: Can't science just get rid of the menstrual cycle altogether? Come on, Science! Some how, some way? I've been dealing with the damn cycles since November 15, 1984! A month before my 11th birthday. Happy Birthday to me! Never missed one since...i've had duplicates but no misses. Glad i don't have asthma on top of it.

There's a few ways one can get rid of Biatchmas (ranked by extremity and permanance)--note that all of these pretty much preclude Babby Being Formed:

1) Seasonale doesn't get rid of it altogether, but reduces Biatchmas to a 2-3 day period (pun intended) once every 3 months. Also, taking "The Pill" (and dropping the week of "period pills") can also pretty much put an end to the misery.

Bad effects: Not really any save for any longterm effects of The Pill.

2) Depo-Provera--no Biatchmas for up to two years.

Bad bits: Requires injection in gyno's office every three months, most gynos won't put you on it for more than two years because it can cause osteopenia (pre-osteoporosis), probably not the best option if you're an asthmatic already on steroids that can thin the bones. Not available in a good part of Europe, but very much available in the States still. Can cause some women to gain a fair amount of weight, so if that's a concern you may want to stick with Seasonale.

3) Uterine ablation--very light Biatchmas, or no Biatchmas at all FOREVER.

Bad bits: Actual surgery, so good insurance required; usually only recommended for Severe Biatchmas (not mere inconvenience, we're talking "passing clots the size of basketballs and practically needing Depends instead of pads/tampons and needing Vicodin for menstrual cramps because the prescription-strength ibuprofen does NOTHING" levels of Biatchmas). Probably need to find a pelvic pain specialist to get a good one done. (That said--can be a godsend, especially if your mommy parts ARE that munged to need it.) Tubal ligation is pretty much required, because if you try to have babby after this there's a good chance it could go tubal otherwise or otherwise turn into the equivalent of Babby Chestburster (and thus require one of the "we need to do this to save mom's life" abortions)--not an option if you want to have babby outside of adoption.

4) Hysterectomy--Obviously no Biatchmas evar.

Bad bits: Surgery (many hysterectomies are laparoscopic, so it's on the "a bit more severe than merely having your tubes tied" level of owieness), most docs will generally NOT perform an elective hysterectomy (even tubal ligation and uterine ablation is damn near as complicated, form-wise, as planning a flight to the Moon). That said, it IS a permanent fix.

For most women who actually may want to have babby and/or don't want surgery, Seasonale or Depo-Provera may be the best bet--if you're having Biatchmas From Hell, take Seasonale as long as you want to maintain the ability to reproduce then go for the ablation/tubal ligation combo, seriously, you will be so farking glad you did.

That's not my experience. When she's menstruating, she's as dry as a bone, except for the blood. And she's just not in the mood, since her hormones are at levels where she's not supposed to be in the mood. She has some pretty bad cramps and sex makes these worse. No, I can do without for four days. It's just not worth the effort when the carinal is visiting.

Actually, a lot of women get really horny around that time of month.
