The same group of idiots will donate another $300,000,000 next time. They will win because the Democrat candidate is not black or something along those lines.

I wouldn't be that unhappy with a Hillary Clinton nominee, and now that she's been the Sec. Of State for four years it gives her a little more credibility on hard decisions than she had last time around.

FIRST we get a supreme court decision to allow us to create a plethora of PAC's that can receive unlimited funding.
Second we find a sure to lose candidate.
Third we raise $300 million in special interest funding and shuffle it around the PAC's while retaining fees and salaries from multiple PACs
Forth we only spend half the money buying ads and funnel the rest of the money into offshore accounts.

Gee, what happens if our candidate wins?

Then we are truly farked.

Karl Rove is not just done, he's SCREWED.

Mitt Romney ran a campaign and was defeated. He's done.
Paul Ryan lost Vice presidential election, but won re-election to his seat. He's not done, and came out relatively unscathed.

But Karl? Karl is well and truly effed. What you're hearing is the sound of karl's political, financial, and social life imploding. Karl is persona non grata in so many cirles now, it's a titanic failure.

Don't the Japanese have a traditional route for a man who is an absolute, abject failure to take in order to retain his honor?

"A hotel employee with a cellphone camera taped Mr. Romney talking at a May fundraiser about the "47%" of the population that do not have any federal income-tax liability. When released in September, the video added to public doubts about Mr. Romney's wealth and character."

That lowly hotel employee pretty much single-handedly torpedoed his chances right there, that tape was a crippling blow to their narrative and it energized their opposition more than any other single piece of campaign materials or rhetoric. IMO anyways...

Obama won through voter fraud. God voted twice. He threw a hurricane at the RNC which cost them their convention bump, and then he did it again with Sandy to show how awesome Obama is. God voted twice and he probably doesn't even have photo ID.

I wish you were right, but I fear you're not. He's already spouting the lie that Obama suppressed voter turnout (Although he doesn't explain HOW Obama did this). He'll convince the billionaires that it wasn't his fault.

We've seen time and time again how people we thought were "through" were just resting. Remember Newt Gingrich after being ousted from his position as speaker? Elliot Spitzer? Ollie Fraking North?

As Terry Pratchett says "In a sewer, it's not just the cream that rises to the top."

I am enjoying the fall of Hot Karl as much as anyone, but let's not kid ourselves. He just personally banked a metric assload of money from millionaire rubes dumb enough to give him the keys to their bank accounts. He's going to get to plot his comeback from on top of a very big pile of cash.

I kinda had this premonition, but I don't like being all morbid. Still, I wouldn't be surprised.

It may depend on whether the donors have any legal avenues they can pursue.
