Had truth been victorious, the race would've been over a few weeks after Mittens was nominated.

I'm frankly amazed that the Romney campaign apparently didn't recognize their long odds going into the election. I understand average Romney supporters and even ground-level campaign workers being fleeced by their own unrealistic perspectives. But I truly thought that his top-level people would have recognized what was going on and prepared themselves and their candidate for the possibility of losing.

Romney didn't lose because he lied through his teeth every single day of his campaign, he lost because he started to believe his own lies.

"There's nothing worse than when you think you're going to win, and you don't," a Romney adviser tells Crawford. "It was like a sucker punch." But when the punch comes from ignored reality, you're not just the sucker. You're the one who suckered yourself.

randomjsa: The truth? A winner in this election? So that means after running one of the most dishonest and dishonorable campaigns in history the Obama administration is going to straight right up and start telling the truth? That's what the headline means... right?

Because if you're suggesting that "the truth" is what won this election then check yourself in to a mental institution post haste before you hurt somebody or yourself.

Duuuude... C'mon, man. We've all had fun being a partisan hack now and then, but the election is over and it time to assess and conclude and make fact-based plans to move forward.

Nah, don't deal with the odds when you can complain about the bookie (Nate).

No, they're saying that the more honest candidate won. I think it's actually math that won

This is why I left the republican party in 2003, the wilful ignorance at the core of the party and LACK of cognitive dissonance despite all the grounds for it. Romney just personified all the negative qualities the Republicans exemplify and espouse. His blistering storm of lies will go down in history just as Bush's Rovian manipulation of the national and global community will...

CynicalLA: The real question is if the people in the echo chamber are going to start questioning their news sources or double down on the insanity.

They are angrier at 'liberal' sources that told the truth instead of their own sources that essentially lied to them everyday.
