Micheal Steele is so much more awesome now that he's not in charge of anything important.

Why are people so obsessed with scoreboard? All it indicates is who is a winner and who is a loser.

The 1% all got that way by making brilliant financial decisions. The only way they could have lost is if the other side somehow cheated.

It was like watching an apocalyptic preacher declare that maybe his calculations were off by a few minutes, and that the world would end aaaaaaaaany minute now.

And his own clergy going outside to interview reality. "Hey, Earth, are you still in one piece? Hey Karl, it looks like Earth is still in one piece. Comment?"

Like most high-level operatives, he's just a mercenary. He was paid to win elections for Republicans, so that's what he did. I don't think he ever gave much thought to platforms beyond what level of support they had among various demographic groups.

Michael Steele is a commenter on MSNBC. Now that he's not under pressure from the RNC, he's a pretty reasonable and fun guy.

Well, Ryan Peterson's been a pretty significant change from Steele in that he seems to have focused the RNC's efforts on finding any remaining legitimate cans of Four Loko.

Michael Farking Steele. Ever since he was escorted out of the RNC, my appreciation of him has grown immensely. I guess maybe there's something about being the chair of the RNC that makes you have to be an ignorant, duplicitous asshole.

Actually, you were right the first time - it's pronounced "I am a sissyfairy mincing friend of Dorothy's". It's spelled "goalie for the Habs/Avs" when you write it in English (including the slash), but it's pronounced "I am a sissyfairy mincing friend of Dorothy's" when you read it aloud.

You should try asking all those people that lined up to give Karl Rove that $300,000,000 he burned to get a 1% ROI. Maybe see what Sheldon Adelson thinks about that $50,000,000 he blew on nothing?

The burn notice on Karl Rove went out when Megan Kelly scorched him on live TV the night of the election over Ohio.

I'm guessing the higher ups send word down and gave the go ahead once Ohio turned Blue.

I have to wonder if Steele and Charlie Crist might be up for some Federal-level appointments over the coming months... you know, just to grind the GOP's nose in it.

Does anyone know what happened on Rove's Conference Call of Sadness and Sorrow yesterday? Is he pooping bilaterally yet?

They'd probably just tie him down and give him a vodak enema. After his slurred, non-sensical, belligerent speech at the convention I doubt that any police department would bother to investigate a clear case of fatal alcohol poisoning considering the victim's public behaviour.

They'll probably only use the big money in off years, when the news cycle isn't dominated by the Presidential race. They got great returns in 2010, so expect a repeat in 2014
