turtleking: how about we make the Navy Seals the celebrities and cut back on the Little Wayne and Nicky vagina worship
jayphat: What the hell exactly was the movie "Act of Valor" then?
Seraphym: speedycat: Geotpf: I don't quite understand the need for "realism" in video games, anyways. Of course, I play Team Fortress 2, a game where you can heal yourself by firing rockets at people, not to mention being able to kill people with a fish, a candy cane, and a rainbow.I'm a weapons guy. It's what I do. I live and breath small arms. So when I sit down to play a shooter, I expect it to be as close to what I do in real life as possible. If I shoot someone with a 12ga at 25 yards, I expect them to die. If I nail someone in the chest 3 times with a 7.62, I expect them to die, not continue bunny hopping across the map. I really can appreciate realism in games. in the last MOH game my character hit his forward assist a couple times before breaching a door. That gave me an erection. In RE6 Leon does a press check with his sidearm when he draws it. Those little details really make a game for me. Those guys are supposed to be trained professionals, they should act like them.This.Based on skirting-the-details discussions with a few of my friends & acquitances who have been on deployment to Iraq and the 'stan, who earned their CABs/CARs several times over, and coupled with what I've been able to read on SOFD-D and DEVGRU operations in the early days of OEF, I thought MoH 2010 was spot on for detail... at least at the Hard setting. Now, you got to keep living after taking a few rounds... but it is a game after all, and making it all RB6 1 would have been maybe a bit much, considering the number of bad guys you had to take out with your little AFO team and how often some SoB behind a rock would catch you sprinting to a new firing position.Just too bad Warfighter totally dropped the ball. Now, considering all the press that was given to the "Tier 1" assets giving design assistance with MoH 2010, why is this a big deal on this sequel game now? They had cant-see-my-face guys meeting with the dev team at Danger Close back in 2009 as well. I'm actually curious to know why these variations on real-world missions are verboten, while the ones in MoH 2010 were not.
