The distaffbopper had thyroid cancer. If you must get cancer, that's the cancer to get, because survival rates are above 90% at 10 years, and there is no chemotherapy, you just have to spend about a weekend away from everyone because you're highly radioactive.

She's actually wrong about where the scar will be. It'll be a bit lower, down near her clavicle. The distaffbopper calls her scar her "smile".

Just in case she's a farker, the guy to go see is Dr. Cord Sturgeon, at Northwestern University Hospital in Chicago. A year post surgery, my wife has no scar.

I had cancer in my throat and neck., stage 4C

Nov 18th it will be 2 years since I finished treatment.

these type of cancers have a very good survival rate for youngish otherwise healthy persons.

She reminds me of Summer Glau a bit.

Welcome to Fark, where a beautiful woman getting throat cancer is arousing.

Yeeck. Y'all are being creepier than usual.

Wife just went through it. However, after taking out the mass and the half of the thyroid it was on, they realized it wasn't cancerous after all. A whole hell of a lot of pre-cancerous nonsense, but no cancer. Sewed her back up and left the other half alone. Has the scar, has to have here thyroid checked every few months now...but no cancer, no hormone replacement pills. We got lucky. Hopefully, this person and all in the same boat will be as lucky, too.

This.

I had to spend a week away from wife and kids, it was wonderful. Also the zero iodine diet during that time was great: lots of fresh red meat, homemade bread, hard cheeses and screwdrivers.

/ the biatch about it: pill first thing every morning, no food for 30min after.
// the biatch II: lost about the top third of my vocal range

Cancer diagnoses are always bad, but I've known a handful of people who had this and they all had a simple surgery and never had a relapse so it's probably one of the "best" cancers you could get. It's still scary though I'm sure.

Any idea what he does different? I've been reading about obsidian-bladed scalpels that are sharp to a point that ends in a single molecule, allowing surgeons to cut in between cells, preventing damage.

that's some quality writing in that article

and she's obsessed with a scar over the idea cancer could have killed her over the eight months it took her to ... alright, lady, whatever. whoever you are, you're still crazy and stupid as hell.

Her entire career has been based upon her beauty. Its more of a consideration than you would have.
