Places with young people and very little else to do have thriving music scenes?

I've never heard of this happening.

Just so y'all know where Nunavut is, here's a map of Canada. BTW, the distance from Yellowknife NT to Whitehorse YT is 689 miles as the crow flies. Calgary AB to Whitehorse is over 1000 miles.

I guess my point was that Nunavut is really really far from Alaska.

And if you ever get the chance to drive the Top of the World highway I recommend it. Beautiful scenery, and you get to go through Chicken.

I've driven from Vancouver to Yellowknife, then back via Fort Liard (long, long gravel road). When I was in grade 3 my family also drove from Alberta to Ontario to visit some relatives. I haven't made it out to the Maritimes yet, but I'd like to visit there some day.

Got to meet her a couple of months ago when she did a show in my neck of the woods. She was amused by the number of people in the audience that were actually knitting Jayne hats during the show.

/and I was the only knitting nerd doing a Tom Baker scarf...
