I don't mind. Obama can be proposing and passing bills and Romney can twiddle his thumbs waiting for a tie in the Senate. Though Obama's security would need to be increased 1000 fold.

Historically speaking- That's what screwed John Adams over. Most of the founding fathers didn't really believe in formal political parties. You held high office in order to work for the betterment of the country. Legislative office, was where politics belonged. However, with the reshaping of the Government from the Articles of Confederation- Federalist and Anti-Federalist appeared...as well as

Washington, our greatest leader, didn't believe in parties-and is our only unaffiliated president. However two informal factions did form. One under Adams- the other Under Jefferson. (Considered Administration vs Opposition)

When Washington sought no 3rd term, Adams gained the most votes, Jefferson got second as the Vice President. The two had very different ideas on how the government should run. Adams wanted to keep America out of the war between England and France. Jefferson-a lover of all things French, refused to help with negotiating with France purely because he did not want to help Adams allies (Which Adams were fighting against..Hamilton wanted WAR!). . Adams did eventually avoid war, but not soon enough to change the course of the Election.

FTFA:

"I get so disappointed when I hear all of the negativity from Republicans against the Democrats and Democrats against Republicans. We need to come together as a nation. Black. White. Hispanics. Jewish. Native Americans.

Subby, dumbass tag? How the f*ck do disagree with that? You're all for continuing the "my ideology is better than yours" poo throwing? Really?

Could you please stop making every tab the f*cking "politics" tab, ffs?!

There's almost no one I'd *rather* be president right now than Biden, Obama included. Stop watching Fox and/or re-watch the VP debate and maybe you'll realize he's not actually a ridiculous caricature.

Now this is a caricature:

In other news, Reggie Jackson's a moron. Also, Jewish is not a race - I hate when people say that.

Reggie Jackson is so old that he still remembers when that kind of outcome was possible.

The African-American and Latin-American population makes up 30% of our national population, but only 9% of those people are college educated with jobs in America, and we have only 6% of African-Americans and Latin-Americans in the world of technology.

"We're just not involved, so I'm trying to change that.''

Yes - Reggie's a moran, trollmitter

Surprised it took this thread so long to get to this. Reggie was willing to go to great lengths in order to bring about the downfall of monarchical tyranny and defend democracy. We should listen more carefully to what he says.

/particularly his thoughts on straws and how to be one
