It's for a Collaborative City/Community Arts Cooperative chorus PR chair's been attending.

Friend of subby (not ours, subby to where I got this) volunteered at Dutch animal shelter which adopted this guy as no one would. Who could resist a face like that? Friend then took him in, calls him Wilford Brimley, natch. 
Hope to be home before final Threadclose; willna have time to say Hasta Lasagna before we leave.

Well, home from Mordor. Eli begging for food, despite the fact there was food in another bowl. Hubby was off today, and put the crunchies in the dinner bowl...confuse a cat! Eli has no desire to go out into the wet. Good thing I cleaned out the litter box!

So nice to come home to Lol cats and Caturday! Needed it!

Raven's got a real buddy at the group home now. One of the guys just ADORES cats. He'll play with her until she gets tuckered out. She'll catch her breath and come back for MORE.
Last night she performed some really impressive jumps- almost 3' from a standing start.

The routine is that she gets her gushyfud right after we arrive. Ever since the new guy moved in, she has begun looking for him when we get there...even before clamoring for her dinner.

Hubby was petting him when, without warning, he attacked hubby's hand. Not just a play attack - a real, "I will kill you if I can" attack. He spent an hour locked in the bedroom and has had his favorite toys taken away for the rest of the day.

That is really nice. Animals make the best Therapists! I know you go the extra mile at work. And I appreciate you efforts. If I had someone in that situation, I would want you there. Care and compassion are so rare these days. Thank you.

Hai guise! I'm hanging in there, the knee seems to be slowly improving (I don't think it liked all the wet/cold weather we had been having). More importantly, the white boy continues to appear to shrug off the fact that he is supposed to be ill. Lack of appetite? The little fuzzball is not only devouring breakfast and dinner, we have now added midnight snack. :o) I concede the fact that the vomiting has increased, but he is still running around with no lack of energy or mobility, still purrs and cuddles with me, and plays like a fiend (he is currently trying to steal the straw out of my glass as I type this) .... speaking of playing, I gotta go upload some pics I took earlier this evening of him with a new toy - stay tuned...

Taking ANOTHER cat to the vet tomorrow. Hermie appears to be losing weight and is eating like a horse, a 11 pound horse. he is only 3 years old dammit!

I hope this is just me freaking out. I'm traveling again in 2 weeks....and I worry. I do not need another one on pills. But I need to have my worry eased.

Oh! Happy dance! Just talked to my Mom..she has now had two post bladder cancer/chemo check ups and they are both negetive. While the Path rpt is pending on this exam, there were no tumors. Sooo..Happy dance! Tomorrow I am treating my girl coworkers to lunch. Then I am going to give the lunch total to the cancer society. They don't know it yet..that is how happy I am! :)

Such a relief! She does smoke,but not like she used to do. So aweful that the sins of the youth are visited on the aged...now she smokes maybe 3 cigs a day. Which is enough to quit, but she doesn't wanna!

Just talked to my vet.. feral kitty is doing well... catheter has been removed, more antbiotics have been pumped in.. may get him back tomorrow... takes three people to handle him at the vet... getting him to trust again may take a while... a temporary cage is set up in the shed.. will have to keep him confined for about three days so things can heal.... I suggested that they tranq him to get him back in the carrier.. I will have a better chance of getting him in the cage that way also...
